We practically sprint back to Granny's

We practically sprint back to Granny's. There haven't been as many quakes since we left the apartment, so I'm assuming that Regina is succeeding in holding off the inevitable. I almost slam into the door from how fast I'm running.

"We got the bean!"

I swing open the door, holding the pouch up for everyone to see. Hook moves out of the way before the door can smash into his face.

"You did it?" Snow asks, eyes wide.

It looks like everyone is here, so we won't have to wait much longer. Andy emerges from the crowd. Before I say anything, I'm being pulled into his arms. He hugs me so tightly that it hurts. But I let him.

"My god, Alice. David told me you were alive, but I couldn't begin to believe-"

Andy finally pulls back, holding me by my shoulders.

"I know I'm not your husband anymore, but I still think I have the right to tell you to never do something like that again," Andy says, his eyes red.

I tense up slightly, fighting the urge to glance at Hook. Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag about my divorce. I had been avoiding telling Hook about Andy and me splitting because that's as good as a confession.

And he wouldn't be completely wrong.

But I have no intention of acting on these feelings.

My true love wouldn't betray me. My true love would choose me over revenge.

And now that I have my life back? I intend to find him...If I can get myself under control around said pirate.

Before I can respond to Andy, Emma appears beside me.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but we need to leave. Are you ready?" She asks.

I nod my head, putting a hand on Andy's arm. That will have to do for now. I can give him a proper apology when we're safe. She kneels, grabbing Henry by his shoulders.

"Okay, let's get going. Henry-"

"Where's my mom?" Henry asks.

"Regina can hold off the self destruct device long enough for us to escape, but..."

Emma's words confirm it for me. Regina will have to stay behind for us to escape. The second she lets go of the trigger, we're screwed. I feel a small pang in my chest. As bad as Regina is, she doesn't deserve to die like this.

No one does.

"But what?" Henry asks, still not grasping the situation.

The gravity of the situation has already sunk in for the others, their expressions turning grim. Emma steels herself before answering, tears in her eyes.

"She won't survive."

Henry opens his mouth, shaking his head as he slowly backs away from Emma.

"No. No!" His voice rises.
