tw: detailed description of a panic attack and ptsd
Tinker Bell helped us set up a crude recreation of Pan's camp with rocks and twigs as a map. We've been arguing about the best course of action to take for the better part of an hour before finally settling on a plan. I call over the others for them to join us, which they do eagerly. Emma uses a stick as a pointer on the map.
"This is where they're keeping Henry. Pan's camp." She starts. "Tink says there are sentries positioned across the front, which is why we're gonna come in through the back entrance, here. She's gonna talk her way in, once she makes sure the coast is clear, then we're going to sneak on in. If Pan does notice us then Alice will be the distraction." I snap my head up, confused. She failed to mention this part of the plan to me.
"I am?"
"You're the one with the sword that can protect you from his magic." She points out.
"Fair enough." I relent with a shrug nonchalantly.
"It's suicidal." Killian pipes up from beside me, incredulous.
"Coming to Neverland is suicidal and yet..." I trail off with a half shrug. He looks like he's about to argue but Tink chimes in before he can.
"You'll still have to deal with any lost boys once you're inside." She tells us. We all nod our heads in acknowledgement. The lost boys shouldn't be too hard to fight off, as long as I'm keeping Pan busy.
"When can we put this rescue mission into action?" David asks impatiently, which is par for the course from him. His patience used to annoy me to no end but now I just find it endearing. He's become somewhat of a brotherly figure to me since we worked together at the station. I just hope that his impatience doesn't get him killed one day.
"I'm ready to go. Just as soon as you tell me the exit plan." Tink tells him. We all look around at each other in silence. "You do have an exit plan, don't you?"
"It was more of a last minute trip." Snow says, not sounding confident at all. I pinch the bridge of my nose.
"When it comes to family, we always find a way." I snort at David's words. That's a weird way to say 'I have no idea how we're getting off this island'.
"You don't get it. Here, let me show you something." Tink reaches into her pocket and pulls out a steel grey watch. "You know what this is?"
"A watch." I answer with a raised brow.
"I got it from the people who brought Henry here." My spine straightens at her response, hand finding the pommel of my sword instinctively.
"Greg and Tamara? Where are they?" I ask demandingly.
"I got it off the girl's body." My whole body relaxes. I can't help but feel satisfied by her answer, as awful as that sounds. Tamara shot me in cold blood and tried to murder an entire town. Children included! "And the other guy? Well, there wasn't enough of him left to find anything useful." With that, she walks off, leaving us to our own devices. Snow sends David a panicked look.
