It's a cold morning here in Storybrooke with a light layer of snow on the ground. Me and Henry are warming our hands around glass mugs of hot chocolate. Well, we were doing that until Henry left to get his game boy from upstairs. The others wanted me to help look for a way to defeat Zelena but I made Henry a promise. I glance out the window of the diner and nearly spit out my hot chocolate when I see Henry out by Emma's car. I stand up from my stool suddenly and rush out into the cold, putting my coat on as I go.
"Henry!" I call out. The boy turns with wide eyes and I furrow my brows. "What are you doing?"
"I'm going back home." He responds angrily and I feel a small pang in my chest. Being back here with all my memories, I had almost forgot that New York is still Henry's home.
"You're running away." I say, approaching slowly.
"So what? Everyone here's been lying to me since we got here and even your acting strange." I close my eyes and sigh before opening them. I stand directly in front of him, putting my hands on his shoulder.
"Henry, I'm acting strange because what's happening is strange." I say softly. "There are things happening that I can't explain. Not because I don't want to but because I literally can't explain it. You think I don't want to run away from my problems?"
"Then let's go. I miss New York. I miss home." He exasperates throwing his head back. A part of me wants to do just that but then I remember Killian.
"The young lad might have a point." I whirl around at the sound of Killian's voice, wondering if I summoned him on accident. Then I process what he said and my brows shoot up.
"Killian? What-"
"Maybe you should take the young lad home." He says and I feel my blood turn hot in my veins. Is he really telling me I should leave? Betrayal starts to form an ugly knot in my stomach but I push it down.
"A moment, Killian." I say through gritted teeth, walking out of earshot of Henry. I don't wait to see if he's following before laying into him. "You dragged me from New York, from my life, and now you're telling me to leave right after I get my memories back. Also, you've been avoiding me! What the hell is going on?" He closes his eyes, his jaw clenching.
"Listen, love. Things aren't safe here for the boy. Zelena just paid me a visit and told me that she plans to kill the boy." He tells me, which only adds to my confusion.
"What? Why would Zelena tell you she's going to kill Henry?" I ask, throwing my hands up. He smiles humorlessly and I've known him long enough to know that a lie is about to come out of his mouth.
"How am I supposed to guess the motives of someone like her?"
"You're lying." I whisper, unable to keep the hurt out of my voice and feeling weak for it. "Why are you lying?" He stares at me for a moment, conflicted.
"Look, do you trust me?" He asks, eyes pleading with me. Just a couple of minutes ago I would have said yes without hesitation but now? I don't believe Killian would ever hurt me, that much is clear. But after we finally have the chance to be together now, he's pushing me away and I deserve to know why.
"That depends on, are you going to tell me the truth?" I ask. He stares at me, his eyes wide and I let out a humorless laugh before turning away from him as my heart cracks. "Unbelievable. Henry, I'm going to go grab our stuff and we can go to the park okay? It's not time to go back to New York and I don't want to hear any more about it." I shout before making my way inside Granny's. I run upstairs and grab our bags by the door.
When I make my way outside, both Henry and Killian are gone. My heart pounds in my ears rapidly as a knowing look comes over my face.
"No way..." I whisper through my teeth.

I'm going to upload another chapter tomorow since this is so short. I just didn't know how to split the chapter in half without it being written awkwardly. Also, I hope you guys at least had a peaceful Thanksgiving. I know some of you don't celebrate but I still hope you had a nice week. I'm glad to be back because I'm really excited to write the chapters where Alice and Killian go back in time :)))))
