THIRD PERSON POV
Jhoanna could feel the weight of her parents' expectations as she transferred to Santa Villa. They had insisted on it, wanting her to be in a better environment, but mostly so she could be closer to Maloi and the others. It was a new start, a fresh beginning, but also a lot of pressure.
As she walked through the gates of Santa Villa, she was greeted by familiar faces. Maloi, Stacey, Sheena, and Aiah were already waiting for her, assigned as her tour guides for the day.
"Jho! Welcome to Santa Villa!" Maloi greeted her with a big smile, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Yes, welcome! Tara, tour na kita," Aiah added, leading the way.
The girls took Jhoanna around the school, showing her the classrooms, cafeteria, and library. They chatted animatedly, sharing funny stories and memories. Jhoanna felt a sense of relief—maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
When they finally reached their classroom, they settled in, chatting about the upcoming classes. After a few minutes, the door swung open, and in walked Mikha, Colet, and Gwen, laughing together with someone else.
"Hey, guys!" Mikha called out as they entered, their laughter filling the room.
Jhoanna looked at the person with them—she was petite, with a long hair and a mischievous grin that spoke volumes.
"Oh, by the way, this is Ace," Gwen introduced her, "She's a bit of a troublemaker, but you'll get used to her."
Ace shot Gwen a look of mock indignation, her thoughts contradicting her friend's words. 'I'm not a troublemaker kaya...' she thought, though she didn't voice her protest aloud, Ace look at the tall girl with a black glasses.
Jhoanna's eyes widened in surprise. there was something about her that instantly intrigued Jhoanna. The day continued with classes, and Jhoanna found herself glancing at Ace more than once. There was something about her that was different, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
After school, Jhoanna decided to head over to Aiah's house, planning to hang out with the group. As she walked, she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her. She quickened her pace, but the footsteps behind her matched her speed. Her heart raced as she finally spun around, ready to confront whoever it was.
"Bat sinundan mo'ko? Manyak ka ba o stalker?" Jhoanna snapped, her voice laced with irritation.
Ace stood there, arms crossed, clearly taken aback by the accusation. "Excuse me? I am not a stalker, and hindi din ako manyak," she shot back, rolling her eyes with a hint of annoyance.
"Then why are you following me?" Jhoanna pressed, her brows furrowed in suspicion.
Ace scoffed, her expression turning into one of defiance. "You really don't know who I am, do you? I'm Ate Aiah's younger sister, not some random stranger. And I wasn't following you—I'm on my way home. We live in the same direction, genius."
