THIRD PERSON POV

Jhoanna, the ever-dutiful class president, was known for her strict adherence to rules. With her pristine uniform, straight hair neatly, and a no-nonsense attitude, Poganda, she embodied the model student everyone aspired to be. On the other hand, Draven was the life of every weekend party—charismatic, carefree, and unapologetically rebellious, Rich kid, Maganda. Her popularity stemmed from being the go-to person for a good time.

But what no one knew was that behind their apparent rivalry, they were deeply, madly in love with each other.

It was a typical Monday morning, and Jhoanna was already in full swing, making sure everyone was in their respective classes. She noticed a familiar face leaning against the lockers, a mischievous grin on her lips.

"Draven, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be in class," Jhoanna said in a stern tone, arms crossed as she glared at her girlfriend.

"Chill, prez. I'm just taking a break," Draven smirked, pretending not to care.

"Break? It's only been thirty minutes since first period started," Jhoanna shot back, clearly unimpressed. "And I heard about your party last weekend. Again?"

"Why, did you miss me?" Draven teased, raising an eyebrow.

Jhoanna felt her cheeks heat up but kept her composure. "No, I'm just reminding you that there are rules. Bawal ang parties sa weekdays, okay? And the noise complaint? You could get in trouble."

"Wow, grabe naman ang pagiging strict mo, Miss President. Galit ka ba talaga?" Draven asked playfully, leaning closer.

"Tumigil ka na nga. Sa president's room after class," Jhoanna ordered, her voice firm, but her eyes gave away a hint of something softer. "May kailangan tayong pag-usapan."

Draven's grin widened. "Uh-oh, parang may naghihintay na detention. Sure ka, mamaya pa, or gusto mo na ngayon?"

Jhoanna gave her a warning look before turning on her heel and walking away, leaving Draven chuckling to herself.

The day dragged on, and despite the rumors swirling around about their supposed hatred for each other, Draven found herself eagerly anticipating the end of the day. As the final bell rang, she made her way to the president's room. She knocked lightly before entering, closing the door behind her.

Jhoanna was sitting at her desk, glasses perched on her nose, looking every bit the diligent class president. But as soon as Draven stepped inside, the atmosphere shifted. Jhoanna got up and walked towards her, her usual serious expression melting into a tender smile.

"Bakit? Ano na namang kasalanan ko?" Draven asked playfully, but before she could say more, Jhoanna pulled her close, wrapping her arms around her waist.

"I missed you, baby," Jhoanna whispered softly, pressing a gentle kiss on Draven's lips.

Draven's teasing demeanor faded as she kissed her back, her hands cupping Jhoanna's face gently. "Missed you too, mahal. Hirap na hirap ako kanina not to hug you in the hallway."

Jhoanna chuckled against her lips, pulling back just enough to look into her eyes. "You make it so hard to stay mad at you, you know that?"

"Eh paano, you look so cute when you're mad," Draven teased, her thumb brushing over Jhoanna's cheek. "And I love it when you scold me. Means you care."

"Syempre naman. But seriously, you need to be more careful. I don't want you getting into trouble," Jhoanna said, her voice filled with concern.

"Okay, okay, promise. I'll behave," Draven said with a mock salute, making Jhoanna laugh.

They stood there for a while, wrapped in each other's arms, enjoying the rare quiet moment. It was hard maintaining the façade of enemies when they were actually everything to each other. But they had decided it was for the best, to keep what they had hidden, for now at least.

"Ano, sinong nagsabi na we hate each other?" Draven asked with a smirk.

"Almost everyone," Jhoanna sighed, rolling her eyes. "But let them think what they want. Alam natin ang totoo."

Draven leaned in to kiss her again, slower this time, savoring the feel of Jhoanna's lips against hers. "And that's what matters."

"Basta, promise me, you'll be good, okay? At least pag may class," Jhoanna said, pulling back reluctantly.

"For you, I'll try my best," Draven replied, her smile genuine.

They stayed like that for a few more moments, enjoying the peace and quiet of the empty room. For now, they were just Jhoanna and Draven—two people madly in love, with no need for pretense or facades. And that was more than enough.
