THIRD PERSON POV

Stacey slid smoothly into the driver's seat, adjusting her blazer as she settled in. She tapped on her iPad mounted to the dash, reviewing the case documents while mumbling, "Ahh right... kaso ni Mr. Gomez. Fraud and embezzlement. Great."

She started the engine, backing out with practiced ease before cruising through the city streets toward Sevilleja & Associates—a firm that bore her family's name but only saw her a few times a week. Lawyering was a part-time grind for her now; her full-time hustle was managing the empire her family built.

By the time she arrived at the polished glass building, her phone buzzed with a reminder: "Courtroom 2B – 10:30 AM."

She sighed, grabbed her briefcase, and stepped out.

Inside the courtroom, Stacey stood poised in front of the judge, eyes calm, voice sharp.

"Your honor, hindi po totoo 'yun," Stacey said firmly, glancing toward the opposing counsel before shifting her gaze back to the bench. "Ang mga ebidensya po na hawak nila ay hindi sapat para patunayan na may intensyon si Mr. Gomez na mandaya."

She took a step forward, exuding a mix of confidence and casual elegance that silenced the room.

"In fact, if we may refer to Exhibit C, it shows that the transaction was authorized by the finance department and verified through internal audit—long before any allegations were raised."

The judge nodded slightly, clearly intrigued. Opposing counsel fidgeted.

Stacey smirked subtly. Another day, another courtroom dominated.

Her mind briefly wandered—back to a certain uptight girl with wide eyes and a fiery glare.

She blinked and snapped out of it, mentally shaking off the image of Callista's annoyed face.

"Focus, Sevilleja," she told herself, lips twitching at the corner.

The courtroom was tense, a subtle buzz of murmurs dying down as Stacey turned to the projector behind her.

"Let me walk the court through the timeline of the transaction in question," she continued smoothly, tapping on the remote. A slide appeared showing a clean spreadsheet—dated entries, audit stamps, and a highlighted line that read "Approved – Q3 Disbursement."

She pointed to the screen without looking back. "This approval was logged two weeks before the supposed falsification of documents. And if we move to the next slide..." She clicked again. "You'll see email correspondence confirming internal clearance from the financial controller, dated and timestamped."
