THIRD PERSON POV

As Stacey turned the corner, she almost bumped into Yeri—one of Callista's closest friends—who was holding a cup of iced coffee and scrolling on her phone.

"Oh, Stacey?" Yeri blinked, surprised. "Hindi ko in-expect na nandito ka pa."

Stacey gave her a polite smile. "May meeting pa kasi ako. Why? Bawal ba?"

Yeri narrowed her eyes teasingly. "Hindi naman... pero mukhang ang saya ng meeting niyo ni Callista kanina ah." She raised a brow knowingly.

Stacey smirked, unbothered. "Business and pleasure can go hand in hand, diba?"

Yeri chuckled. "Hmm. Basta alam mong iingat ka ha? Alam mo namang mahal namin si Calli."

Stacey's gaze softened for a second before returning her usual confident expression. "Don't worry. I know what I have. I'm not letting go of her that easily."

Yeri sipped her coffee, eyes glinting. "Good. Kasi kung hindi, kami bahala sa'yo."

Stacey laughed lightly and gave her a mock salute. "Noted, Ma'am."

"By the way, alam mo na ba na trending ka? Dahil dumaan ka dito at nagbigay ka ng bouquet kay Callista," Yeri asked, sipping her iced coffee with a teasing smile.

Stacey smirked and flipped her hair slightly. "Of course. Ako pa ba? Natural lang 'yan."

Yeri chuckled, shaking her head. "Hindi ka pa rin nagbago talaga. Mayabang pa rin."

"Confident lang, Yeri. May difference," Stacey winked.

"Hmm, sure ka d'yan," Yeri said, laughing. "Anyways, bye! Sabihin mo kay Calli mag-chat siya mamaya!"

"Will do," Stacey said smoothly as she walked away, hips swaying with that usual flair, leaving Yeri shaking her head in amusement.

TIME SKIP

The city lights flickered through the tall glass windows, casting soft shadows in Callista's office. She leaned back in her chair, finally closing her laptop with a tired sigh. The clock on the wall read 10:46 PM. Silence filled the floor—only Gelo remained, seated on the couch scrolling on his phone.

"Nandito ka pa rin?" Callista asked, stretching her arms.

Gelo looked up and grinned. "Of course. Assistant duties never end."

Callista gave him a pointed look. "Uwi ka na, Gelo. Anong oras na, oh. Wala ka bang lakad bukas?"

Just then, her phone buzzed.

Stacey:
Are u done working? Nandito ako outside.

A small smile tugged at Callista's lips as she read the message.
