THIRD PERSON POV
The tension in the practice room lingered even as the members packed their things. Jhoanna, the group's peacemaker, made sure to keep an eye on both Aiah and Mikha, ensuring they wouldn't start another fight.
"Before tayo umuwi, mag-usap na kayo," Jhoanna said, her tone firm as she looked pointedly at the two. Aiah rolled her eyes but nodded in agreement.
"Sa rooftop kayo mag-usap kunware dramatic—aray!" Stacey's teasing comment was cut short by a smack on the arm from Jhoanna, causing everyone else to stifle their laughter.
"Huwag ka nang dagdagan ang drama, Stacey," Jhoanna muttered, shaking her head.
Aiah grabbed her bag and motioned toward Mikha. "Tara na, Mikha. Let's get this over with," she said, her voice sharp but tinged with exhaustion. Mikha nodded silently, following Aiah up to the rooftop.
On the rooftop, the cool night breeze swept past them, a stark contrast to the heat of their earlier argument. Aiah leaned against the railing, her usual smirk playing on her lips, while Mikha stood a few steps away, trying to compose herself.
"Okay, ano na? Ano bang gusto mong sabihin?" Aiah started, crossing her arms as she looked at Mikha.
Mikha hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "Do you like Rhea, Aiah?" she asked directly, her voice soft but steady.
Aiah raised an eyebrow at the question. A small smirk tugged at her lips, as if amused by Mikha's persistence. "Oo, I like her, Mikha," she admitted, her tone calm yet confident. "She's been doing great with me."
Mikha's chest tightened at Aiah's words, but she didn't back down. "So... kayo na ni Rhea?" she asked again, her voice betraying a hint of vulnerability.
Aiah's smirk faltered slightly as she shook her head. "Not... yet," she admitted, her voice quieter now. "But I'm getting there."
Mikha's heart ached at the confirmation. Rhea—her ex—had accepted Aiah's feelings. The thought hit her like a punch to the gut. She swallowed hard, forcing herself to speak. "So, pinapalitan mo lang ako?" she asked, her voice cracking slightly. "First ako, then si Rhea?"
Aiah's eyes narrowed, her smirk completely gone. "Walang palitan, Mikha. You had your chance, pero sinaktan mo si Rhea. Anong gusto mong gawin ko? Maghintay habang ayusin mo sarili mo?"
"i know, i'm still fighting for her. i still like her too, May the best girl win, ate aiah. " mikha said and walked away
Aiah stood frozen, Mikha's words echoing in her mind. "May the best girl win." The casual yet weighted statement felt like a challenge, and it made her grip the railing tighter.
"Ang kapal din ng mukha mo, Mikha," Aiah muttered under her breath, watching as Mikha disappeared down the stairs. She scoffed, shaking her head, but deep down, the encounter left her unsettled. Mikha's lingering feelings for Rhea were evident, and it complicated everything.
