THIRD PERSON POV

"Mikhs, wake up."

Ari said, gently shaking her older sister's body. Despite being sisters, they were only a year apart in age.

"Hm... what time is it?" Mikha mumbled sleepily.

Ari rolled up the sleeves of her uniform before crossing her arms.

"Six a.m. Classes start at 7:30."

Mikha slowly opened her eyes and squinted at her younger sister, who was already fully dressed and prepared for the day.

"You're excited for your first day, huh?" Mikha said, a teasing smile forming on her lips.

"Yes... but I still miss being abroad," Ari replied.

There was a faint hint of longing in her voice as she turned and walked out of her sister's room.

The scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the condo as Ari entered the kitchen. Morning sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a warm glow across the marble counters and spotless interior.

Ari quietly prepared breakfast—toast, eggs, and coffee, just the way she liked it. Her movements were practiced and precise, almost mechanical.

She had always been like this.

Organized. Controlled. Predictable.

Maybe that was why coming back to the Philippines felt strange.

Everything here felt familiar, yet distant.

She set Mikha's coffee on the counter just as footsteps echoed behind her.

"Wow," Mikha said, now fully awake as she tied her hair up. "You made breakfast? For me? I'm touched."

"Don't be dramatic," Ari said flatly, taking a sip from her mug.

Mikha grinned.

"You missed me."

Ari gave her a look.

"I live with you."

"Exactly."

Ari sighed, shaking her head.

Mikha watched her for a moment, her teasing expression softening.

"Nervous?"

Ari paused.

"...No."

Mikha raised an eyebrow.

"Ari."

A beat of silence.

"...Maybe a little."

That made Mikha smile.
