THIRD PERSON POV

After their wedding, the two kept seeing each other—more often, closer, and with every meeting their bond only grew stronger.

FLASHBACK | Years ago

The rain had finally stopped.

Sunlight broke through the clouds, casting soft golden rays across the Ateneo courtyard. Callista walked quietly along the hallway, her fresh uniform crisp, her wet hair now dry. The echoes of her footsteps filled the otherwise quiet corridor.

She had a book clutched to her chest — a borrowed copy of "Wuthering Heights" — and her mind was elsewhere. Stacey's touch in the library still lingered in her memory, unwanted yet unshakably vivid. The way Stacey looked at her... it was different.

Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted when Rosè appeared beside her.

"Hey," Rosè said gently, falling in step with her.

Callista blinked, slightly startled but offering a small smile. "Hi. You okay now?"

Rosè shrugged, hands in her hoodie pockets. "Yeah. Just... needed to get something off my chest."

Callista nodded slowly. "Thanks again... for the uniform. I didn't get to say it properly."

Rosè smiled a little. "Anytime. You looked cute in it, by the way."

Callista chuckled softly, a faint blush coloring her cheeks.

Before Rosè could say more, loud laughter rang from behind them — Stacey's voice, unmistakable, echoing through the corridor with her group. Callista instinctively straightened, her face hardening ever so slightly.

Stacey's eyes found them.

Her laughter faded.

For a moment, silence blanketed everything. Her gaze flickered from Rosè to Callista, and something unreadable passed through her expression — something sharp and raw.

Sheena elbowed her. "Hey, nerd and girl crush ahead."

Stacey didn't respond. She just stared.

Then, slowly, she walked toward them. Her friends watched with wide eyes.

"Rosè," Stacey said coolly. "Aren't you from Section B? Shouldn't you be... somewhere else?"

Rosè raised an eyebrow. "I'm allowed to walk through the halls, right? Or is that a crime now?"

Callista glanced between them, tension settling in her chest.
