cry well haha sorry babes :3THIRD PERSON POV
Rhea stared blankly at her phone, countless unread messages from Mikha flashing on her screen. There was a time when her heart would skip a beat whenever Mikha's name popped up. Pero ngayon, all she felt was exhaustion. Her fingers hovered over the screen, unsure if she should open them or just leave them unread — just like all the other times.
Rhea: Bakit ganito, Mikha?
Mikha was the girl everyone warned her about. She had that charm, the kind that could convince anyone to do anything. Pero alam ni Rhea, deep down, there was something off, something she kept ignoring.
Her phone vibrated again. It was Mikha.
Mikha: "Babi, nasaan ka? Let's talk. I promise, babawi ako."
Bawi? Ilang beses na 'yang sinabi. Every time they fought, Mikha always found a way to convince Rhea to stay, to believe that things would get better. Pero hindi eh. Parang paulit-ulit na cycle.
It was always the same. Mikha would make a mistake, promise to change, and Rhea would forgive her. But nothing ever changed. She felt like she was stuck in an endless loop of false promises.
Rhea sighed, closing her eyes as memories flooded in.
Months ago, they were at a party. Mikha's arm was around her, pero panay ang tingin nito sa ibang babae. Akala mo hindi halata, Rhea thought. She tried to ignore it at first, pero nung umabot na sa point na nagchat-chat na si Mikha with some random girl right in front of her, she couldn't take it anymore.
"Mikha, ano ba? Bakit kailangan mong makipag-usap sa iba kung nandito naman ako?" Rhea confronted her, her voice trembling.
Mikha just smirked, "It's nothing, babe. You're overreacting. Wala kang dapat ipag-alala, ikaw naman ang mahal ko, di ba?"
Rhea wanted to believe her. She needed to believe her. Pero, deep down, alam niyang hindi totoo. There were so many red flags — the late-night disappearances, the excuses, the lies. And every time, Rhea found herself forgiving Mikha because she loved her too much to let go.
Rhea shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. But the memories wouldn't stop. The fights, the gaslighting, the manipulation. Mikha always knew how to twist things around to make Rhea feel like she was the one at fault.
Last week was the breaking point.
Rhea caught Mikha flirting with another girl—again. It wasn't even subtle this time. They were at a friend's gathering, and Mikha had her arm around the girl's waist while laughing at something she said.
Grabe naman, Mikha... She wanted to scream, but instead, she just left. She didn't want to make a scene.
Now, here she was, sitting in their apartment, staring at her phone, wondering why she ever let it get this far. Rhea stood up, pacing back and forth. She had to decide. She couldn't keep doing this to herself. Every fiber of her being was telling her to leave, to walk away from Mikha before she completely lost herself.
