"Huy Kat, tignan mo yung Katcey shippers oh. Trending kayo ni Ate Stacey ngayon," Sheena said, sliding onto the couch beside her, phone screen glowing in her hand.
Kat barely looked up from her own phone. Her thumb froze mid-scroll before she forced a small, practiced smile.
"Talaga? Wala lang 'yan. Sanay na sila sa kaunting fan service," she said, trying to sound amused. Light. Detached.
Sheena leaned in closer, grinning. "Ang sweet pa rin ng mga comments. Sabi nung isa, 'soulmates kayo in every lifetime.' Gusto mo basahin ko—?"
"Okay na 'ko, 'Nay," Kat cut her off gently, laughing a little too quickly. "I've seen enough."
But the truth was, she hadn't seen enough. Not when it came to Stacey.
Kat opened X quietly after Sheena got distracted with someone else's storytime across the room. Her fingers hovered over the search bar before she typed "Katcey" in lowercase—like if she whispered it, it wouldn't hurt as much.
