THIRD PERSON POV

Maloi known as the leader of the "mean girls" at school, is always silent but has an intimidating presence. She is often followed by others in her group, and everyone knows you don't want to get noticed by her. But for you, Nin, Maloi is different. Yes, there are times when you remain quiet, but whenever someone tries to bother you, Maloi is always there to stop them.

Knowing that she is your "protector,"  nin decided to thank her in a subtle way. nin decided to invite her to your house to work on a school project, unaware that she has no idea about your wealth.

During class, nin approach Maloi, feeling nervous but needing to ask.

"Uhm, Maloi? Pwede ba kitang yayain later para tapusin natin 'yung school project? Pwede tayo sa bahay namin," you ask softly, but loud enough for her to hear.

She looks at you with her usual sharp gaze, but after months, Nin already used to this expression from her.

"Sure," Maloi replies simply, with no trace of emotion on her face.

Nin smile as she return to her seat. Nin is not sure why she's so nervous, but shesh also excited, knowing this is the first time Maloi will get a glimpse of her real life.

In the afternoon, Nin's driver picks her up from school and also picks up Maloi. She remains quiet in the back of the car, gazing out the window. She has no idea what awaits her.

When they arrive at Nin's house, they both get out of the car. Nin can see the shock in Maloi's eyes as she takes in the mansion.

"Dito ka nakatira?" she asks, incredulous, looking at the large gate and the expansive garden.

Nin smile slightly. "Oo, pasok ka. Let's start the project."

Maloi remains silent as she follows nin into the mansion. Her disbelief is evident as she sees the interior of nin's home. Nin lead her to her room where everything needed for the project is already set up. Nin ask her to sit, but she's still in shock.

"So... ganito ka pala kayaman," she finally says after a few minutes of silence, still visibly surprised.

Nin nod. "Hindi ko naman kasi ginagawang big deal. Ayoko rin na malaman ng iba kasi alam mo naman kung paano mag-isip ang mga tao sa school."

Maloi looks at Nin with understanding in her eyes. "Kaya ka siguro binu-bully ng iba. They don't even know this side of you."

Nin smile a little, with a touch of sadness in her eyes. "Maybe."

Suddenly, Maloi's expression changes. In her eyes,Nin see a different version of her—a side that isn't the mean girl leader everyone knows but someone who understands the burden you carry.
