Recap:
Agnes and Yuvin participated in a business event along with his family. The couple showered their affection in the photo session.
At the venue,
The event buzzed with energy as couples engaged in fun-filled sessions designed to strengthen their bonds. The atmosphere was lively, with laughter and conversations filling the room.
One session created excitement by separating husbands and wives into two groups, bringing a fresh dynamic to the activities.
Agnes was enthusiastic to join the event.
Before Agnes could join the session, Yuvin received a call.
“Agnes, I’m getting a call. Do you want to play?” Yuvin asked, glancing at her.
“No issues. I’ll wait with mom and Uncle,” Agnes replied with a calm smile.
“Thank you,” Yuvin said, appreciating her understanding as he walked away.
Agnes turned and saw Roshni and Veer sitting nearby. She approached them and sat down.
“What happened, dear? Are you not going to attend ? ” Roshni asked, noticing her thoughtful expression.
“He’s busy, Mom,” Agnes replied with a small smile.
“Can’t he spend a few minutes with you?” Veer asked, his tone tinged with concern.
Agnes smiled faintly and shook her head, trying to brush it off.
" That's okay. The call might be important", Roshni defended her son.
Agnes gaze drifted to Veer, whose hair was dancing in the air.
“Uncle, did you forget to style your hair today?” Agnes teased, lightening the mood.
Veer smiled. “Yeah, I guess I did.”
As he adjusted his hair, Agnes noticed a mark on his forehead. It looked oddly familiar.
“What’s that mark on your forehead, Uncle?” Agnes asked curiously.
“Oh, this? I got hit by a friend,” Veer replied casually, though there was hesitation in his voice.
He was adjusting his hair.
“But why?” Agnes asked, her concern evident.
Veer glanced at Roshni, who looked equally uneasy.
Both were quiet.
" Uncle ", Agnes called.
“Well, we were practicing boxing, and this happened,” Veer answered, trying to sound nonchalant.
“But—” Roshni started to explain, but Veer cut her off.
“It’s nothing serious. Don’t worry about it,” Veer said with a reassuring smile.
Agnes, however, wasn’t convinced.
“How does someone get hit like that during practice?” she began, but Veer stood up abruptly.
“I need to use the washroom, let me set my hair first ” he said quickly.
He noticed Roshni, who was trying to initiate the conversation with Agnes.
“Roshni,” he called softly.
“Yes?” she replied.
“Come with me,” he said, taking her hand.
Agnes watched them leave, her mind swirling with doubt. Something about their behavior seemed off, and she decided to ask Yuvin later.
" Why they seem strange? And this mark reminds me of something ", Agnes was thinking.
