Recap - Suman and Stephan consoled Yuvin when he was broken. Yuvin asked Suman to leave, but Suman wasn't ready to leave.
In Yuvin's father stark palace,
Yuvin was drowned in a sea of sorrow.
And Agnes... she was nowhere near to pull him out.
Suman's brows furrowed with concern as he looked at his brother. Yuvin sat still, his face devoid of emotion, his fingers clenched into fists on his lap.
Suman watched his brother break down, his heart aching at the sight.
Yuvin, always strong, always composed, now sat shattered before him. What had life done to him? How much pain had he endured alone?
Suman felt helpless, wishing he could take away even a fraction of his brother's sorrow. He thought of Yuvin's silent struggles, the betrayals, the loneliness he hid behind a stoic mask. How had he not seen it sooner? Guilt gnawed at Suman-he should have been there more. His brother didn't deserve this. He scolded himself for not standing with his brother.
"What happened, brother?" Suman asked gently, his voice laced with worry.
Yuvin was quiet.
" Can't you share it with me, brother? ", Suman asked. Still, there was no response from Yuvin.
" Nothing ", Stephan answered.
" There is nothing to hide from him. Tell him ", Yuvin replied.
Stephan hesitated for a moment before sighing. "Agnes has planned to divorce him. She's been working on it behind his back."
Suman's eyes widened in shock. His breath caught in his throat as he stared at Stephan, his mind struggling to process the truth. Agnes, the woman who had once sworn to love Yuvin, was planning to leave him? His heart ached for his brother. Yuvin had already endured so much pain-why this, too? But he couldn't believe Agnes would do such things.
"That can't be true! There must be some misunderstanding. We've seen how much she loves Yuvin. She's told us herself! "
" We are not lying, Suman. She is really doing this ", Stephan answered.
Yuvin, hearing Stephan's words, felt another wound tear open inside him. It wasn't just the divorce-it was the betrayal. The deception. Agnes, whom he had trusted, had chosen to act behind his back. His chest tightened, his hands curled into fists.
" Trust me, she will not do such things ", Suman supported Agnes.
But Stephan remained silent, his gaze unwavering. Then, slowly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He scrolled through his messages and handed the phone to Suman.
" See this ", Stephan said coldly.
The proof was undeniable. Emails, legal documents, messages-everything was there, and it shattered any hope Suman had clung to. His throat went dry, his hands shivered as he scrolled through the evidence. He had no words to counter this.
Yuvin, who had been silent until now, let out a bitter chuckle.
" Why don't we have a word with Agnes? Shall we try to mend? ", Suman questioned.
"If she had told me the truth, I would have tried to mend things. I would have worked to make this relationship stable. But she acts all loving in front of me while scheming behind my back. That's what hurts me the most. It's not just the divorce-it's the deception. I don't want to mend a relationship built on lies."
As Yuvin spoke those words, a hollow ache settled in his chest. His voice had been steady, but inside, he felt like he was crumbling. He had given his care, his trust, his commitment-only to be deceived. The weight of it pressed down on him, making it hard to breathe. Was he not enough? Was his affection so easy to discard? His hands trembled, not with anger, but with deep, aching sorrow. The thought of what could have been, of the life he had envisioned with Agnes, now felt like a cruel illusion. All that remained was pain and betrayal.
