**At the Airport**
Stephan hugged Yuvin tightly, his arms trembling, tears streaming uncontrollably down his face.
For the first time, the always-composed Stephan appeared completely vulnerable, his anguish laid bare.
Yuvin, startled by the intensity of Stephan's emotions, whispered in a concerned tone, “Stephan, what’s wrong?”
Stephan tried to speak, but the words caught in his throat.
He was a fortress of strength, always standing tall for Yuvin, yet now, he felt like he was crumbling. Every time, when Yuvin was broken, Stephan was the one supported him.
He hugged Yuvin tighter, as if holding on would stave off the flood of emotions threatening to drown him.
“I was… I was… lost,” Stephan choked out, his voice trembling, his heart weighed down by a despair he couldn’t name.
“Why are you crying, man?” Yuvin asked again, his brows furrowed in concern.
He started rubbing Stephan hair.
Agnes, standing nearby, took a step forward, her voice tinged with worry. “Brother, what happened?”
Stephan didn’t answer, his grip around Yuvin only tightened further.
Yuvin tried to console him, gently patting his back. “I’m all right, Stephan. I’m sorry for switching off my phone. Don’t cry,” Yuvin said softly, guilt creeping into his tone.
Finally, Stephan let go, his face streaked with tears.
Yuvin wiped off his friend tears.
" Don't cry like a kid ", Yuvin said.
Agnes noticed something amiss. Her eyes widened in alarm as she gasped, “Brother, you’re bleeding!”
Stephan flinched, quickly pulling his hand away. “It’s nothing,” he said curtly, his voice hoarse.
Agnes was shocked seeing his behaviour towards her. But she didn't react.
But Yuvin wasn’t convinced. He grabbed Stephan’s hand, inspecting the wound with a mix of concern and anger. “How did this happen?” he demanded.
Stephan averted his gaze, unwilling to meet Yuvin’s eyes.
“Tell me!” Yuvin insisted, his voice growing firmer.
“I… I hit my hand on the wall,” Stephan muttered, almost ashamed.
Yuvin’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“Are you insane? Will you hurt yourself just because I didn’t pick up your call?” he asked, his voice rising.
Stephan stayed silent, his silence speaking volumes about the turmoil within.
" I was worried ", Stephan said after a long silence.
Trying to explain,
Yuvin said, “I… we… we had a physical relationship last night. Because of that, we didn’t get much sleep. That made us sleep in the morning . I didn’t know it would affect you this much.”
Agnes stood guilt.
She hadn’t realized her irritation about the phone ringing had led Yuvin to switch it off, which in turn had caused all this chaos. She glanced at Stephan, guilt gnawing at her insides.
