Recap: Yuvin joined his family for dinner, where Binoy mistreated Rachel. Later, Agnes advised Rachel to choose a good man.
The evening was one of grandeur and celebration, yet beneath the shimmering lights and lively chatter, emotions ran deep.
Families and associates of the Malhotra Group had gathered at the lavish venue to honor achievements and foster unity.
But for some, the night was far more personal—a chance for resolutions, admissions, and understanding.
Near the parking lot,
Agnes stood firm, her expression a mix of strength and determination, as she addressed Rachel.
“Change your attitude toward Yuvin. After all, he is my everything. I will not allow anyone to hurt him,” she advised.
Yuvin was surprised.
Her words lingered in the air as she turned and walked away, leaving Rachel rooted to the spot.
Tears welled in Rachel’s eyes.
She started thinking about Yuvin.. and she turned, only to meet Yuvin’s gaze.
He stood in the shadows, watching ber. Their eyes locked briefly, and Rachel tried to call out to him.
Yuvin looked at Rachel, but his thoughts were running around Agnes.
“Sonu—” she began, her voice shaky.
But Yuvin simply turned and walked away.
A faint smile tugged at his lips, but it wasn’t directed at her. His thoughts were elsewhere, centered on Agnes and the unwavering loyalty she had shown him.
He was surprised to see his wife support him.
On the other side,
The lights dimmed slightly, and the host took to the stage, her voice commanding attention.
“Good evening, everyone! It’s a pleasure to see so many familiar faces here tonight.
As you all know, this annual event is not just about celebrating success but also about strengthening bonds and building our network. To kick off the evening, let’s enjoy a short skit that showcases the growth of our community!”
As the spotlight shifted to the performers, Yuvin’s eyes scanned the room to find his wife.
He was looking for her. She was sitting with Roshni, Ria, and Sara, their laughter a melody that momentarily eased the tension in the room.
Agnes seemed at ease, her eyes crinkling with joy as she joked with her family.
The seating was Suman, Aarav, Veer, Roshni, Ria, Sara, Agnes.
Binoy was sitting in the next row.
Yuvin chose a seat a little apart from them, his gaze fixed on his wife.
He is not ready to mess up her happiness.
Memories of their tumultuous journey played in his mind. From the day she had pleaded with him to stop their arranged marriage to the moment she had stood by his side as Mrs. Yuvin Malhotra, her transformation baffled him.
“How did she love me?” he wondered.
“What did I do to deserve her? Didn’t I make her resent her parents because of this marriage? I made her cry in the marriage. I killed all her dreams about marriage. So why me?”
His phone buzzed, jolting him from his thoughts.
Rachel’s name flashed on the screen, and he stared at it, conflicted. He hesitated but ultimately chose not to answer. The past had no place in the present.
