Haunted Memories (Halloween Costumes pt2, a bit of Nuzi)

I'm not dead guys, trust 🙏 I wanted to make a real spooky chapter but meh.

But honestly? You guys have seen how much I'm uploading right? Like once a month? Well it's because I have gotten less "energetic" or something with writing MD recently and I apologize how this chapter turned out. I am obviously not quitting this book or Wattpad anytime soon. So there, nothing serious, just feeling way too "out of touch" with writing but I'll still write chapters:))

After N and Uzi got into their Halloween costumes, they were about to go with V to the booths at the halls of the colony until Thad stole V.

If you don't have good memory, here are their Halloween costumes. N wears the hot vampire costume, V wore the dark colored princessy dress, and Uzi wore the purple dress and witch hat. Refer to the first part for clearer explanation:)

While the trio was walking side by side with N in the middle of V and Uzi. The man was babbling away, being all excited, wondering what stuff he would try, candy (even if he can't eat them), while V looked half distracted and Uzi listening intently with a bored look on her face, intrigue in her eyes.

"OOH! I want to try the candy apples! And see the prince and princess themed booths! Cyn would love to see those! Oh! Also trick or treating! I wanna do that too! And seeing cute little kids in their costumes? That's the best thing I'd see all day!!" He laughed, his tail behind him wagging a bit faster.

"I want to see the haunted house." Uzi giggled mischievously and both their eyes had excitement in them.

N and Uzi were mentally preparing themselves for the trick or treating, they realized V was gone. Uzi stood up straight, furrowing her brows in confusion.

"Now where did that oversized battle cat go?" Uzi muttered and N pointed to the fairytale themed booth.

"Uzi! Look! V's with Thad!" He said, and Uzi relaxed, nodding.

"So... Wanna go to the haunted house first?!" Uzi asked enthusiastically. "You could dress up as a butler and we both will be back in your memories!!"

"I-.." N stuttered, his breath caught in his throat.

"No, no, that's... Uh.." He tried to continue but Uzi looked oblivious and crossed her arms.

"Hey.. N? What's wrong? You can talk to me." She urged gently, putting a hand on N's arm.

"Can we go trick or treating first..? I don't think I want to relive any memories right now." He said, barely a whisper, looking vulnerable. N fiddled with her fingers while he waited Uzi's response.

Ah... Uzi thought and grimaced internally. I'm so stupid. How couldn't I pick that up immediately?

She sighed, flashing an assuring smile, trying to hide her guilt behind it and began leading N to the trick or treating stall to wait for it to begin.

"Oh, N. Of course we will." She said, trying to sound as genuine as possible and N immediately gave a strained smile in return.

At the haunted house booth (for tickets), Uzi walked up to the guy hosting the booth which was Sam, and gave a confident tone.

"Hello, Sam!" She said goofily with a grin. "2 tickets for the haunted house behind dya."

Sam chuckled, opening the box with the tickets after exchanging Halloween currency.
