° Venus °

I am a school council officer, glaring at people who ever stood out of line in assemblies, lunches, classes, and in campus even if there wasn't any special occasion going on so that made me intimidating to some of my schoolmates.

At least that's what I think with the way some boys immediately scatter when I come into view.

One afternoon, I was out hanging out with Lizzy, my friend and the daughter of the dean, but she calls us "besties", and she nudges me in the ribcage while we both lean against a tree outside the cafeteria during lunch, side eyeing me as a familiar boy walks by.

"Ooh, look, it's the soccer player you like so much." She croons, her eyebrows going up as she nodded to the tall blonde boy after he was in practice.

I scrunched up my face, glaring at her and my eyes darted to the guy for a split second before to Lizzy again.

"It's the soccer player you like so much." I managed to smirk, pointing a finger in the middle of her chest and she scoffs rather loudly, and her hand where I put my finger earlier flew to that spot.

"I do not!" She retorted but mischief glowed on her face before calling out to him.

"Oi! Noah!! Come on over here, will ya?!" She yelled, swinging her arms up high, and my heart thumped in my chest in panic, quickly trying to cover my hand over her mouth, and putting her in a stiff hug, but she kept squirming and yelling before Noah walked on over to us, confused and hesitant.

"Uh.. yes?" His lips thinned in a line, blonde bangs slick from sweat, and his shirt clinging to his form which I do not look at.

Though I must say, he's eye candy.

What. The. Hell?

Okay, stop that, Venus.

"This girl likes you. Her name's Venus and very single." Lizzy blurted, finally wriggling out of my arms and can't stop grinning and she looked behind her shoulder to wink her cheeky big blue eye at me which says I just got you a boyfriend, be thankful.

Noah paused, bottom jaw slightly dropped, as if little stars are running through his mind to process the information.

"No. Lizzy does not know what the f#ck she's talking about." I crossed my arms, shoving her aside and I could sense her roll her eyes at me.

"I mean, I do know who you are, we talked a few times in class but everytime I tried to talk to you again, you just didn't remember me." He gave a smile that I just pitied.

"Oh. Damn. Sorry for that." I hissed through my teeth and he did anything but grin.

"Oh well, problem's solved. You're gonna be my friend now, and I'm Noah, by the way." He said, taking his hand out to me to shake, golden brown eyes like honey in the sunlight.

Now that's cinematic.

"Venus." I replied, taking his hand to shake, and his palm was a little rough and bigger than mine but I did like the grip.

He blinked and stared into my damn soul at this point and I never felt so uncomfortable with eye contact. That's supposed to be my job. But he? He's not glaring. He's just like a little kid staring at his favorite candy.

"Tell me when the wedding is happening. Anyways, goodbye. Good luck trying to not seem like you two are dating." Lizzy laughed and that shook me out of my daze and I immediately let go of his hand but Noah looked slightly disappointed for some reason.

"Screw off." I crossed my arms again, glaring at Lizzy as she walked away.

"Now that's over," Noah turned to me, his head cocked to the side. "So I'll see you around, Venus. I like that name, by the way. It's pretty. Like you."

He did another grin as he turned on his heel and left me, making me want more of him. Even if it'll just be a second.
