I was so wrong for telling Wren na siya ang bahala kung gusto niyang manood ng rehearsal dahil never siyang absent.
Today was the 5th day and he was here again to watch. But I wasn't really pissed about it because he became my instant personal assistant.
He carried my things around and always handed me water during break time. Plus, it wasn't a hassle for me to go home because he never left, especially that everyday ay palagi akong uwing-uwi dahil naiirita ako kay Chloe.
She didn't get the solo role but she still accepted to be one of the ballerinas that will perform with me—in short, my back up dancers.
She wouldn't really leave me alone.
And to make things even worse, she found new friends to bully me. They sabotaged my performance yesterday and I almost broke my ankle like how I broke it in highschool because of the same reason.
I can't really understand why she was so mad at me dahil sa naman akong ginagawa sa kanya. But maybe that was the reason, wala akong ginagawa pero mas magaling parin ako sa kanya.
Envy could really drive people crazy.
Actually, she wasn't the only one na mainit ang dugo sa akin dahil natalo ko sila sa mga competitions. Lexis was also annoyed at me because I beat her up over and over back in high school in debates, theatre plays, ballet competitions, and my painting won over hers in an auction. But unlike Chloe, mas tahimik siya dahil siguro ay naka moved on na siya, mas lalo ngayon na lumitaw na raw si Liam at nag transfer ng school.
I haven't seen him yet but he'll surely taste my palm against his cheek and I will make sure it'll sting.
"Time out muna," Wren interrupted my thoughts and my fingers on the keyboard of my laptop.
He placed a glass of warm almond milk on my desk.
It was already 12:26am but I was still in front of my laptop because I was reviewing for my midterm exam later, and he wasn't asleep yet because he was waiting for me to finish.
"Time out muna, love. Hindi pa ba masakit mata mo?" he asked and sat down next to me on the floor.
I shook my head kahit na ang totoo ay wala na ako masyadong makita dahil sa labo ng mga mata ko. I couldn't even see him clearly.
"Masakit na kamay mo?" he asked, but didn't wait for my answer because he already took them to massage my sore fingers.
I leaned back on the couch behind me and let my head fall back as I closed my eyes to take a rest for a minute while my husband massaged my hands.
My body hurts so much because the rehearsal today was so rough and we came home late, but I didn't have any choice but to review because I have a huge fear of failure.
"5 minutes, love." I heard Wren whisper.
I didn't respond because I was too lazy and just let him rest my head on his shoulder, and then I instantly snoozed to sleep.
My mind was still awake even though my body was asleep so I could hear him whisper words, though they were mumbled inside my head and I couldn't comprehend.
"Spanish 'yan, ah," he uttered and let out a low chuckle—making his shoulder move. "My multilingual and busy wife."
He was being chatty again even though he was talking to a half conscious person so I forced my mind to shut him up, and thankfully, it worked because I fell into a comfortable silence.
I didn't count the time inside my head while I was asleep but I knew I was out for five minutes because Wren set my alarm and it rang exactly at 12:31am.
