48 hours after my girlfriends promoted my business by posting my designs on their social media accounts, it blew out.
My email was flooded with inquiries from interested customers demanding the products on their hands right away, but I wasn't complaining at all!
I signed up for this and I was more than prepared.
Kanina pa ako palakad-lakad dito sa boutique habang isa-isang kinocontact 'yong mga taong pwedeng makatulong sa akin because Grandma Nina and her granddaughters couldn't handle all of the demands, so I decided to asked for more help by reaching out to more dressmakers because I wanted the products to be handmade by also helping people to have a source of income.
Kaya ang ending, next week ay apat na meetings ay kailangan kong puntahan. Hindi pa kasama roon 'yong mga meetings sa school as the mayor of the Tourism Department, tapos sumabay pa sa final exam.
At the end of the last call I made, I sighed, took a seat on the velvet blue couch on the reception area, and took out my notes to revise my schedule.
When I was about to write, I felt my left foot being lifted and I found my husband kneeling on the floor as he took my stiletto.
He replaced it with fluffy slippers—replica to the ones he gave me back in high school noong nahulog ako sa hagdan sa University.
Hindi niya ako inistorbo kanina noong may mga kausap ako sa telepono at ngayon lang lumapit sa akin, but he remained silent until he sat next to me.
I ignored him pero hindi nagtagal ay nahanap ko nalang ang sarili kong nakasandal sa kanya habang magaan niyang tinatapik ang binti ko.
"I'm tired." I sighed. "Pero hindi ako nagcocomplain. You know being productive is my happiness."
Slowly, I felt recharged, like being in contact with him gives me energy and it was the strangest thing I've felt my whole life because I didn't know how it worked.
"Graduation mo na next month. What's your plan?" I asked after a while when he didn't speak.
"Mamuhay kasama ka habang buhay."
Frowning, I moved away from him to look at his face.
"Wren, seryoso nga. What's your plan?"
"Seryoso naman 'yong sagot ko, ah."
I rolled my eyes. "Aside from that because that's already given."
I saw that he was taken aback because his pupils dilated and his lips parted a little, until a smirk showed on his face—showing his deep set of dimples.
"So tell me your plans, so I can judge if it's worth staying." Sumandal ulit ako sa kanya at pinagcross ang mga braso ko.
He became alert, and then he cleared his throat to prepare telling me.
"Magfofocus muna ako sa Deep Sea at syempre sayo."
I rolled my eyes again. "Stop mentioning me in every sentence."
"E, kasama ka nga sa plano ko." His voice was firm.
"That's already given as well." I paved my hand to the air. "Continue."
He nodded. "Apat na taon pa naman si Kuya sa US kaya ako muna ang mag aasikaso sa Deep Sea."
I listened to him carefully because I wanted to hear and know what are the things I should include in the future dahil hindi nalang tungkol sa akin ito.
He was with me. We were in it and we'll enter it together.
Reality and adulting were slowly being introduced to us, as well as responsibilities, so we should prepare ourselves, even though it was scary.
