When I woke up, I was already feeling well, but my husband wasn't.

He was still sleeping covered up in sheets and was shivering, so I got up and turned off the aircon.

Ang kulit niya kasi.

Sinabi ko nang mahahawaan ko siya pero hindi siya nakinig, kaya siya na itong nilalagnat ngayon.

He literally snatched the fever out of me and took it to himself so I wouldn't suffer.

I didn't bother to wake him up because I didn't want to disturb him, kaya maingat akong naglakad papasok ng bathroom to take a bath.

I called Andrew, my lawyer because I needed his supervision regarding the terms and conditions of the contract.

Exactly when I arrived, he also got out of his car kaya sabay na kaming pumasok sa loob ng kompanya at dumiretso sa conference room kasama 'yong secretary ng CEO ng Miu Miu dahil nakita niya kami sa lobby.

I wasn't nervous on my way here but when the door opened, I felt like throwing up because of the eyes that greeted me.

It wasn't my first time seeing people in business suits, but today felt like it was.

Remaining a neutral expression despite the anxiousness and intimidation, I confidently walked in and shook the hands of the people who offered.

This was the easiest thing I could fake and it was very essential in my everyday life.

"Please, take a seat," Benedetta Petruzzo, the CEO said.

I smiled at her and sat at the other end of the long table, while my lawyer took the left seat beside me.

I was constantly telling myself that I shouldn't be nervous because I was a CEO too, but at the same time, I should still be humble and prove the worth of my company. So when they asked about it, I took my best shot.

I made sure to impress them and I was really thankful for the years I spent as a member of the debate society because talking right now has become so easy for me.

I knew that Deep Blues could speak for itself just by showing its designs. But as the person behind it, I should prove it.

The atmosphere became lighter as time went by, kaya hindi na ako masyado kinakabahan at nakakangiti na ako nang hindi nanginginig ang labi ko.

The attorneys on both parties also started to discuss while the rest of us closely listened and asked some questions from time to time.

"The collection shall be produced in limited quantities. In short, it's a limited edition," my attorney whispered to me. "You are not allowed to produce over the quantity agreed upon, which is eight for each design of bags," he added.

I nodded and listened intently as he continued to explain.

"If Deep Blues violate a rule, the punishment will be two million dollars. This applies to Miu Miu as well." He turned his head to me, kaya nagkasalubong ang mga mata namin..

Two million is a large sum of money pero siguradong hindi ako magmumulta nang ganyang kalaking halaga because I perfected the art of discipline.

Rule is rule and I always follow it.
