Chapter 38

After my first date with Rain, we hadn't seen each other for almost a month because we became so busy. Isang buwan kasi siyang nasa Palawan because they were shooting a documentary, but we call each other every night to talk about our day. And when he returned, he surprised me because he suddenly told me to pack my things, and then I just found myself with him in California because he brought me to Lana Del Rey's concert.

Hindi ko alam kung paano niya nalaman na fan ako ni Lana, pero hindi na ako nagtanong dahil napatalon nalang ako sa tuwa noong nandoon na kami.

While on our third date, he brought us to an art gallery, where we drew each other.

I had so much fun there because it was just then I discovered something he wasn't good at.

Hindi pala siya marunong mag drawing, kaya tawa ako nang tawa noong ipinakita niya 'yong drawing niya sa akin dahil stickman lang 'yon tapos may araw pa sa upper corner ng canvas at may mga birds na mukhang logo ng McDonald's.

'Yong pang apat naman na date namin ay simple lang dahil nag stay lang kami sa apartment niya at nag movie marathon. But for me, it was the best because I got to know him more.

After kasi naming manood ng movie ay nagkwentuhan kaming dalawa hanggang madaling araw, but it wasn't just a mere chit-chat because it was the kind of talking that speaks the heart.

We told each other our fears, regrets, future plans, goals, and basically almost everything about ourselves, but there were still those lines and stories we couldn't tell because we weren't ready yet.

He was a really understanding person and I liked it so much.

Hindi rin siya takot na icorrect ako sa mga bagay na unconscious kong nagagawa, kagaya nung pagmamaldita ko out of nowhere, which I really appreciated because he wasn't tolerating that bad behavior.

And since ilang beses na nga kaming nag date, marami na ring nakakakita sa amin in public, which rose speculations.

Tama naman 'yong iba roon, pero kadalasan ay puro chismis dahil may mga nagsasabi na live-in na raw kami.

Tinatanong na rin kami ng mga kaibigan namin at minsan sa mga interviews, but we never disclosed anything because we weren't dating...yet.

Tonight was our last date and he decided that we have dinner with his parents.

Nagulat ako noong sinabi niya 'yon sa akin at balak ko pa sanang tumanggi, pero nahihiya ako dahil nasabi niya na pala sa parents niya.

Tapos noong tinanong ko naman siya kung bakit iyon ang napili niya, sinabi niya sa aking gusto niya raw na sabihin ko sa harap ng mga magulang niya 'yong desisyon ko. Kaya habang on the way kami sa mansion nila ay hindi ako mapakali sa kaba.

Hindi naman ako naprepressure dahil may sagot na ako sa kanya, but I'll be meeting his parents!

They are the Mancini and literally one of the wealthiest Italian/Filipino family.

Pero ang sabi naman ni Rain ay mabait sila kaya kahit na papaano ay gumaan ang pakiramdam ko.

Tapos isa pa, napaka bait ni Rain kaya siguradong mabait din ang mga magulang niya.

At tama nga ako dahil noong pagkapasok palang namin sa mansion nila ay agad na sumalubong sa amin si Mrs. Mancini.

"You are Loreen! Oh my god, I'm such a big fan of Blues!"

Nagulat ako noong bigla niya akong niyakap, pero mahina nalang akong tumawa at niyakap siya pabalik.

"Mamma, she can't breathe," Rain said and carefully separated his mother from me because she was already hugging me for almost half a minute.
