"It broke out of your wrist when you stabbed your fiancé."

I wanted to talk but my throat tightened and oxygen was snatched out of my body.

Holding my neck, I gasped for air and tightly closed my eyes, but when I tried to open them, I just couldn't and I was thrown to another dimension.

A quiet, wet, and dark dimension, which I quickly recognized.

I was back in that nightmare—the nightmare I had nights ago.

Panic swiftly enveloped me and my throat tightened—cutting off my airway.

Breathe... I couldn't.

I couldn't breathe.

Gasping, I held my neck and a shadow in front of me slowly appeared with its hands wrapped around my throat—strangling me.

"W-Wren..." I tried to remove his hands by tapping on them as tears started to glide down to the side of my eyes.

I stared unblinkingly at him, but then slowly, the image of him faded... replaced by someone I didn't expect as the place switched into the condo's kitchen that night when blood pooled.

"Do you really think I didn't know?" Rain's hold around my neck tightened. "That you're cheating on me with your ex-boyfriend?"

I tried to shake my head and slap his hands but it got even tighter.

"I've seen and watched you with him. Do you think I'm stupid?"

N-No...no. He was wrong...

"R-Rain..." I felt my eyes popping out from the tightness of his hands around my neck.

I will die...

He will kill me...

My brain was starting to shut down from the lack of oxygen and my head was foggy, but I still did my best to think of a way to free myself.

If I needed to run, to crawl, or even to jump from this floor to the ground just to survive this night, I'd do it without a second thought.

Letting go of Rain's hands in an attempt for him to free me, I wandered mine behind my back—to the kitchen island, where I got a hold of something. I was trembling and I felt numb, so I wasn't sure if I was gripping the object tightly, but I
I still extended my arm toward him. And that was when oxygen finally flowed to my body because he let go of me and took a couple of steps back.

I coughed and patted my chest while tears streamed down my face as I trembled in so much fear, but then I gasped when Rain was suddenly yanked from his back.

Lifting my head, there I saw Wren with his wide eyes staring down at my hands.

I followed it and my knees wobbled while my heart stopped.

Blood...

So much of it...

"N-No...no..no," I whispered while profusely shaking my head.

"L-Love," Wren called me.

I looked at him through my blurry vision, but then I heard a thud when Rain's body fell down the floor because Wren let go of him.

"H-Hindi ikaw...ako," Wren told me—holding my face.

Pinunasan niya ang mga luha ko kaya muli ko siyang nakita nang malinaw.

Terror, fear, panic, worry—those were the emotions I read in his eyes, while mine were just two big circles with warm tears around them.

"Ako ang sumaksak sa kanya. Hindi ikaw. Hindi ikaw," paulit-ulit niyang sabi. "Tandaan mo. Hindi ikaw, love. Ako ang may kasalanan. Ako ang sumaksak kay Rain dahil galit ako sa inyong dalawa. Hindi mo kasalanan. Naiintindihan mo ba ako?"
