My routine remained the same. I go to my office to do some paperwork, listen to lectures inside the classroom, go to the studio to rehearse, and then go home.
And so far since I talked to the coaches about what happened in the comfort room, hindi na ako ginambala ni Chloe at nung mga alalay niya dahil binigyan na sila ng warning.
Some of them apologized to me, but never Chloe.
Today will be the final performance so everyone was busy and running around to do their work.
I was sitting with my eyes closed because I was having my makeup fixed while hairstylists do my hair into a neat bun. They also put a silver tiara above my head that perfectly complimented my midnight blue tutu.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the makeup they put on my face. My eyelids were painted with dark blue eyeshadow which has a silver shimmer on the inner corner and an eyeliner that made my eyes look lifted. It has also emphasized my cheekbones.
"30 minutes!" one of the organizers yelled to remind us the remaining time before the performance began.
I rose up from my seat because they were already done fixing me to put on my tutu. Three people helped me because it was hard to do it myself due to the crystals and ribbons that needed to be tied up.
It was heavy but manageable so I was confident that I'll do very well on the performance.
"Okay, get ready!" the organizers yelled again and my co-ballerinas lined up behind the thick dark curtains that separated and hid us from the audiences.
My part will be last so I was on standby.
We waited for a couple more minutes until the orchestral music played and the curtains opened up.
The ballerinas synchronically danced as gracefully as swans, impressing every eye that watched them.
My foot was tapping on the ground to follow the beat of the music, and then I grabbed my bottled water on the table to drink.
As I was drinking, I heard my phone vibrate so I took it from my bag.
From CandyCrush: Goodluck, lovey ko! Dito ako sa pinakaharap para mas makita kita nang malapitan❤️
I tossed my phone back inside my bag because I didn't reply to my husband and I saw an organizer approaching.
"Ms. Loreen, get ready," she said and I nodded at her.
I breathed in and out to focus and prepare myself but instead of feeling that, I felt dizziness.
Holding my head, I searched for support through leaning my hip on the table.
I could hear my own breathing and my vision was spinning while my eyes were blurry so I blinked a lot of times, but nothing changed.
"What--"
"Ms. Loreen, your turn!" The organizer's voice was muffled and it echoed inside my head but I still understood it so I walked fast behind the closed curtains.
Calm down. Just breathe.—I was chanting calming words inside my mind to remind myself to focus.
The curtains slowly revealed me and I acted like I was fine.
I couldn't hear the music properly because my heartbeat was louder.
My mind was also foggy but my body remembered every single step of the dance so it didn't appear like something was wrong. My chest was moving up and down more than usual because I was trying to catch my own breath, and then I blinked a lot of times to see the crowd until my eyes caught my husband.
