*Carmilla's POV*
This meeting is a bit too early for my liking, but it's long overdue. It's been a while since we've reconvened after the last extermination. We haven't been active as a group since the failure of the last angel attack. It's time to figure out our next steps. We also need to figure out what to do now that Alastor is out of the picture. Love him or hate him, he was quite the powerhouse. His absence will be felt, and we need to be proactive in filling his seat.
Once Zeezi arrives we finally have everyone. It's not often we have all three of the V's in one room, so they must know this meeting is important. Usually only one of them arrives. I'm actually glad to see them taking this seriously. Vox, as usual, looks bored out of his mind with his drink in hand.
"So, what's on the agenda this morning, Carmilla?" Vox questions. I can hear the grogginess in his voice. He's not much of a morning person.
"We need to recap the last failed extermination, learn from it, and plan for the future. That won't be the last time they come to our doorstep, and the next time they'll try something new." I explain to the room. "We need to have a united front and be proactive on protecting this city and our territories if we don't want to be eliminated." I look at my daughters, my reasons for fighting. They always bring a smile to my face. "Finally, we need to fill Alastor's missing chair and find someone suitable to cover that area of the city. It encompasses that Hazbin Hotel, so someone that can get along with the Princess of Hell would be ideal." I hear a few murmurs at that recommendation, but no hard objections.
"I've got that one covered." I hear a new voice from the doorway proclaim after my last statement. I look up and see a new demon I do not recognize. The rest of the overlords look as confused as I am. She looks to be some sort of fox demon, with red pointed fuzzy ears and a swaying red fox tail. She's calmly leaning against the open-door frame, looking straight at me with a devilish smile. What is she holding in her hand?
"Who the fuck are you?" Valentino bites back at the new girl, a scowl on his face. The V's are always on the offensive, I can't help but roll my eyes.
"The demon who took down Alastor." She answers, getting a few gasps from the group. She walks up to the table and places a broken staff on the table. It's easily recognized as Alastor's staff.
"But..." Rosie takes one of the pieces, examining it. She and Alastor were always close, I'm sure this isn't sitting well with her. "...he was defeated by Adam." She clarifies.
"He was wounded by Adam." The new girl corrects as she proudly walks over to the open chair at the table, pulls it back, and takes a seat. This seat happens to be right next to Rosie, Alastor's old seat. "He thought he could hide while he healed, and that was his mistake." The girl wiggles her finger as she remembers her encounter with the past Radio Demon. "He was almost fully healed up by the time I found him. But alas, I saw an opportunity and took it. Taking down an overlord, especially one as powerful as Alastor, now that's something to brag about. Wouldn't you say?" She asks the group, that same shit eating grin on her face.
"Now hold on just a minute!" Velvette chimes in as she slams her hands on the table and stands from her chair, looking over the new girl. "There's no way a tiny powerless thing like you took down the Radio Demon! We've been after him for years! How exactly did you do it?" Velvette questions as she crosses her arms, not amused by the new girl.
"Oh, sit down, Velvette." The new girl calmly states as she lifts her glowing light blue hand, points a finger at Velvette, and moves her finger down. Somehow this forces Velvette back in her chair, causing shock around the room. She may be small, but she does have some power. "How did I do it?" The new girl repeats the question, shifting her eyes over to Velvette. "You see, I can shapeshift into anyone. What do you think Alastor would do if someone he trusted approached him during a weak moment?" She asks as she stands back up.
In just a few seconds, she's surrounded by a light blue fire. Once the fire dissipates, it looks like none other than Charlie Morningstar is standing in front of us. Of course, we know better, but the fact that this girl can look so flawlessly like the Princess of Hell is a bit terrifying. She starts playing the part of a concerned Charlie, as if reenacting her conversation with Alastor that night.
"Oh no! Alastor! You're hurt! That doesn't look good. Adam's holy light hits demons hard. You won't survive if you don't let me help. Please." She begs, eyes full of concern and empathy before shifting into maniacal laughter. "Bastard didn't even know what hit him." Her appearance still looks like Charlie, but her voice sounds like her original voice again.
"You're lying." Vox states to the girl, getting her attention. She tilts her head in confusion at him. "There's no way you killed him. The Radio Demon is still alive in fact. He can't be killed that easily, by you, or by Adam." Vox looks around the room. "He's probably in hiding, waiting for his time to strike when we're vulnerable so that he can take over this city." He announces to the group. A farfetched idea, considering the girl brought proof that was verified by Rosie showing that he's gone. But the scenario sounds realistic enough.
I look over at Zestial, who's been quiet this entire time. It seems like he's letting this play out.
Another shift of light blue fire and the girl now looks like the deceased Radio Demon, Alastor. "Now, why would I do that?" The radio filled voice is uncanny. Even the way she changes her walk to match his is impressive. She's mastered the art of shapeshifting. She walks closer to Vox. It seems like seeing an impersonation of Alastor is making Vox uncomfortable, almost like he's forgotten this is just an act and not the real thing.
"Why Vox, I thought we were old friends." The voice impersonation followed by a perfect replication of Alastor's laugh has Vox absolutely flustered. "I would never think of doing something that would hurt you or your company. That doesn't sound like something friends do." She continues her teasing of Vox, still using Alastor's likeliness and voice.
Finally, Zestial raises his hand, indicating he wants this scenario to stop. I'm glad he's finally intervening. If he wasn't going to, I was going to stop it soon. "You've proven yourself and your powers, girl." Zestial looks at the girl. "What shall we call thee?" He questions.
The new girl finally goes back to her original form in a quick shift of light blue fire. A confident smirk on her face as she looks at Zestial.
"My names is (y/n), Hell's newest overlord."
