she's clawing her way out
dragging her talons down my arms
sinking her teeth
in all i hold dear
but what does it matter
i knew i'd never escape her
i can change my hair
change my name
draw sigils on my body
warding off the evil
but she'll always come back
she'll always
come
back—the monster in me
