Ye Wenxin didn't linger, focusing her attention on the path ahead.

By the time they reached just over a hundred steps, Gu Xiangsi was already struggling. Ye Wenxin followed slowly, pretending to be quite exhausted.

Step by step, the climb grew increasingly difficult, and more people fell behind. Yet many continued to get up and press on.

While this was meant to test aptitude, in the end, it came down to sheer strength.

"Sis, I... I can't go on," Gu Xiangsi gasped, having reached over two hundred steps, her voice laced with desperation.

Her innocent aroma filled the air, eyes pleading, and if not for standing on the Heavenly Ladder, Ye Wenxin might have thought she'd secretly taken her Spring Rejuvenation Pill.

"Take this and keep climbing," Ye Wenxin cursed inwardly, calling her a little temptress, as she retrieved a bottle of Level 2 Blood Replenishment Pills from her storage.

Due to their complex crafting process, she only had a little over a hundred, but they were enough to carry her through several hundred steps.

"Sis, I can't take it," Gu Xiangsi firmly refused Ye Wenxin's offer. She called Ye Wenxin 'sister' not out of desire for benefits, but because Ye Wenxin gave her a sense of safety she couldn't resist.

If material goods tainted this pure relationship, her feelings for Ye Wenxin would change.

Gu Xiangsi disliked complicated relationships and preferred to refuse.

"Look, your brother is already up past four hundred steps. We must stay together," Ye Wenxin pointed to Gu Aotian, who was leading the climb. In just a few days, he seemed reborn.

Reflecting on the beautiful mute's disappearance, Ye Wenxin suspected that while she was unaware, the mute had given Gu Aotian an opportunity that she had missed.

This realization left Ye Wenxin with a sense of discontent.

Despite her efforts and talent, she couldn't compete with something called a protagonist's aura. But since this was fate, Ye Wenxin accepted it, hoping only to alter her ending.

She didn't want to become part of the hero's harem or die; she just wanted to live a peaceful life.

"I understand, sis. I'll consider these pills a loan," Gu Xiangsi said with newfound determination, accepting the bottle without hesitation and swallowing two pills.

Ye Wenxin hadn't even explained they were Level 2 pills before Gu Xiangsi grabbed her hand. Ye Wenxin was bewildered, seeing the fear in Gu Xiangsi's eyes replaced by resolve.

"Sis, we can make it," Gu Xiangsi declared, pulling Ye Wenxin along the Heavenly Ladder. Ye Wenxin, amused, thought Gu Xiangsi was pushing herself too hard.

Clearly struggling, she insisted on dragging Ye Wenxin along.

"Is she crazy? If she can't manage herself, why drag someone else? Doesn't she know the pressure doubles?"

"Hahaha, I think these sisters are inspiring. The older sister's giving her all so they can both join Cangyu Sect."

Due to her height, Ye Wenxin was mistaken for the younger sister, but she didn't dwell on the age issue. She worried more about Gu Xiangsi's condition, fearing the spectators might be right about the doubled pressure.
