A plan began to form in Ye Wenxin's mind as she tried to hide her overly conspicuous smile, preparing to put it into action on this dark, windy night.

"Mute sister, since you stubbornly ignore my advice, take this pill," Ye Wenxin said, presenting the Spring Rejuvenation Pill bottle to the beautiful mute.

The mute slowly opened her eyes, staring at the pill as if not understanding its connection to qi deviation.

"I'm an alchemist. I read about a pill that can curb qi deviation. By the way, that's what I gave you the other day," Ye Wenxin lied smoothly, confident that the naive mute wouldn't detect her hidden intentions.

The mute didn't react immediately. After a few seconds of studying the bottle, she took it from Ye Wenxin, nodded slightly, but showed no intention of consuming it.

"This will help with your qi deviation. Take it now; I have more if needed," Ye Wenxin urged, eager to continue her experiment, convinced that the Spring Rejuvenation Pill would affect the mute somehow.

The mute glanced at Ye Wenxin again before opening the bottle and swallowing the pill, then resumed her meditation.

Ye Wenxin waited patiently for a few seconds, but the mute remained still, leaving Ye Wenxin puzzled. How could a pill potent enough to affect herself be so ineffective against the mute?

"Mute sister, are you feeling warm?" Ye Wenxin kindly inquired. The mute opened her eyes, nodded, then closed them again.

"That's a normal reaction. The pill will make you feel warm, don't resist it..." Ye Wenxin continued to encourage, not believing the mute lacked human desires, coaxing her to follow her instincts.

But no matter how much Ye Wenxin persuaded, the mute remained unmoved. Frustrated, Ye Wenxin pulled out a Clarity Pill from her storage.

"If you can't stand the heat, take this. I'm tired and going to sleep," she said, taking a blanket from her storage and settling on the straw pile to sleep.

Exhaustion overtook her, and Ye Wenxin soon fell asleep. Meanwhile, the meditating mute finally opened her eyes.

Her eyes reflected an unusual heat, with her back soaked in sweat. She watched Ye Wenxin in the distance, careful not to make any noise that might awaken her.

Once sure Ye Wenxin was asleep, the mute resumed meditation, silently repeating a phrase in her mind.

"Zhuling, what's happening to me?"

Within seconds, a cold female voice answered, "Master, you're poisoned."

The mute's gaze turned icy. "What poison?"

The emotionless voice replied, "That little girl gave you another Spring Rejuvenation Pill."

The mute seemed more composed, though puzzled by Ye Wenxin's intentions. "Spring Rejuvenation Pill? The kind used for...?"

"Yes, master. That girl wants to seduce you," Zhuling replied matter-of-factly, devoid of any emotion.

The mute, incredulous at a thirteen-year-old's thoughts, glanced at Ye Wenxin again.
