In the great hall, a woman sat in the center, wearing a black and white robe, her features exquisitely refined. However, she looked drastically different from Ye Wenxin's previous impression. The Asura Hall's master seemed to have shrunk.

Previously, she appeared to be in her early twenties, lacking expression but remarkably beautiful. Now, the Asura Hall's master looked about fifteen or sixteen, making Ye Wenxin suspect she had secretly mastered some bone-shrinking technique.

"Master was so angered back then that she reverted to a youthful state," Luo Miaoyi whispered, noticing Ye Wenxin's surprise.

Ye Wenxin almost laughed. She had seen those who went mad, had drastic personality changes, or bled to death from inner demons, but this was the first time she'd heard of someone reverting in age due to it.

If Ye Wenxin didn't recognize that face, she might have thought Luo Miaoyi was spinning a romantic tale. But knowing that face, she realized much of what Luo Miaoyi said was true.

For instance, after Ye Wenxin had tricked the Asura Hall's master, Liu Churan took extreme measures to prevent further harassment, leading to the current situation.

In any case, all the blame lay with the Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng, having nothing to do with Ye Wenxin.

"Greetings, Master," Ye Wenxin politely clasped her fists, acknowledging Bai Chi as her elder.

Yet Bai Chi seemed unresponsive, maintaining an aloof demeanor.

"Master, she’s here," Qian Bingxue reminded, prompting Bai Chi to acknowledge Ye Wenxin.

Their eyes met, Bai Chi’s gaze void of any emotion, more severe than a decade ago.

After a few seconds, Bai Chi raised her hand, producing a long whip.

Fiery red with thorns, it radiated a menacing aura.

Ye Wenxin instantly recognized it as the Asura Whip but couldn’t fathom why Bai Chi would greet her with it.

"Hey, Master, what's everyone doing here? I was just about to report yesterday's events..." Third Senior Sister Liu Yansheng burst in, casually taking a seat and watching with amusement.

Bai Chi merely glanced at her before focusing on Ye Wenxin, swinging the whip.

A chilling wind swept past Ye Wenxin's ear. Despite dodging in time, she felt a sting on her cheek.

"Master, what’s the meaning of this?" Ye Wenxin's voice turned cold. She had anticipated any tactic from Bai Chi but hadn’t expected an opening whip.

"Miss Ye, this whip looks terrifying but can strengthen one's bones. The more it strikes, the stronger your bones will be," Liu Yansheng explained with a mocking smile, eyes filled with schadenfreude.

"If you want to strike, do it yourselves. I, Ye Wenxin, will not be beaten by you!" Ye Wenxin trembled with anger. Even with her body fortified by spirit stones, one strike would still be excruciating.

The notion of bone-strengthening was a delusion only Asura Hall's masochists would believe. Ye Wenxin would never agree, and she was here to clarify face-to-face that joining Asura Hall was out of the question.
