"Hmm, how did I fall asleep... Oh, it's morning already," Luo Miaoyi finally stirred, blinking at Ye Wenxin before glancing at the brightening sky, slowly regaining her senses.

"I don't know. I woke up and found you sitting at my door."

"What? But I knocked on your door for ages last night and got no response!" Luo Miaoyi exclaimed incredulously, having assumed Ye Wenxin wasn't back yet, which led to her waiting and eventually dozing off outside.

Yet now, Ye Wenxin claimed she had been asleep all along.

"Believe it or not," Ye Wenxin replied, disinterested in arguing, as she headed inside. Luo Miaoyi quickly followed, noting the untouched state of the room, with neatly folded blankets suggesting Ye Wenxin hadn't slept there at all.

Ye Wenxin remained unfazed, while Luo Miaoyi, anxious and eager, grabbed Ye Wenxin's hand, probing further, "Ye... Junior Sister, tell me, where did you go last night?"

Her curiosity was piqued, confident she'd caught Ye Wenxin in a lie, hoping to leverage this for a closer bond.

"Where do you think I went?" Ye Wenxin deflected, prompting Luo Miaoyi to ponder before answering.

"I'd guess either Senior Sister's room or Third Senior Sister's," she ventured cautiously, aware Ye Wenxin knew few others here.

As she spoke, Luo Miaoyi leaned in, trying to detect any lingering scent from either Senior Sister on Ye Wenxin.

Ye Wenxin sidestepped with a smile, "Guess again."

Luo Miaoyi felt guessing was futile, but Ye Wenxin's enigmatic smile spurred her to ask, "Could it be you went to the Master's room?"

Before she finished, Ye Wenxin playfully tapped her head.

"Why can't you think more innocently? Who says going out means visiting their rooms and doing something? Asura Hall is rich in spiritual energy, so I found a prime spot to practice," Ye Wenxin said, amused, as Luo Miaoyi leaned closer to sniff.

"Really, no female scent on you, just a hint of formation power," Luo Miaoyi noted, unfazed by the suggestive posture.

Ye Wenxin leaned back, avoiding more contact, but Luo Miaoyi didn't notice and leaned in further, "Junior Sister, your fragrance is enchanting. What perfume do you use?"

"Junior Sister or Junior Brother—stick with Junior Sister until I change forms," Ye Wenxin sighed, wishing she hadn't used 'Ye Liangchen' to appease the Hall Master.

Now, her ace had become an Achilles' heel, leading Luo Miaoyi and Liu Yansheng to harbor vague romantic feelings.

"I see," Luo Miaoyi murmured, captivated by the subtle scent, her eyes glazed, as she edged closer.

Ye Wenxin smiled wryly, using a silver needle to prick her pain receptor.

"Ah!" Luo Miaoyi yelped, breaking free from the icy allure. She looked at Ye Wenxin, then her disheveled state, blushing deeply.

"Junior Sister, if you wanted to... shouldn't we follow proper order?"

"I'm not interested in such things. Your wandering hands needed punishing. Next time, it won't be just a needle," Ye Wenxin warned coldly, wary of forceful contact due to past trauma.
