The hall was engulfed in an eerie silence as Ye Wenxin looked around at this familiar scene, recalling memories of the Shura Hall Leader from years past.

"It's been a while, Hall Leader Bai," Ye Wenxin greeted, steeling herself despite the awkwardness. She refrained from responding to the overly enthusiastic gestures of the Shura Hall Leader, trying hard to maintain the last semblance of her villainous facade.

Despite the crumbling facade, the Shura Hall Leader seemed accustomed to Ye Wenxin's aloofness. Rather than being put off, she moved closer, nudging against Ye Wenxin affectionately.

With this, Ye Wenxin's suspicions were confirmed. The Shura Hall Leader had recognized her all along, waiting for the moment she would reveal her true self. If Ye Wenxin had managed to hold back, the Hall Leader would have eventually intervened to save her.

Ye Wenxin cursed her own kindness, realizing it had been cleverly used by the Hall Leader. The indestructible inheritance in her hands remained still. Looking at the Hall Leader, Ye Wenxin pondered for a moment before saying, "Would you like to play with it?"

Her words carried a tone of indulgence, making the hydra behind her almost cry out in frustration. The inheritance of the Golden Serpent Immortal's indestructible body was meant to destroy the Shura Hall members, yet here Ye Wenxin was, casually offering it to the Hall Leader.

The Hall Leader glanced at the inheritance, shaking her head as if unimpressed.

The disciples behind her exchanged puzzled looks, unsure what kind of influence Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng had on their usually cold and distant Hall Leader, causing her to act so dependent.

"Alright then, if you don't want it, I'll keep it," Ye Wenxin said, noticing the envious glance from Zhao Teddy. She intended to force it on the Hall Leader but decided to store it in her ring to prevent Zhao Teddy from snatching it.

With that matter settled, Ye Wenxin's attention shifted back to the Shura Hall Leader, observing the pitiful hydra.

"What do you plan to do with this snake?"

"Seal it again."

"Just like that? If you'd like, I could kill it for you," Ye Wenxin offered, surprised that the Hall Leader didn't want to end the creature's life, given the grudge with the Golden Serpent Immortal.

"I don't need your favor."

The Hall Leader spoke more fluidly now, perhaps because she was pleased to see Ye Wenxin, or maybe her previous demeanor had been an act.

Ye Wenxin couldn't decipher her meaning and didn't care to. Seeing the complex looks from Qian Bingxue and others, she decided it was time to leave, fearing that staying longer might bring unexpected complications.

"Then I'll be going," she said, nodding to the Hall Leader, who said nothing in return, only watching her intently.

Ye Wenxin walked about five steps before recalling Zhao Teddy's situation. A flower appeared in her hand, and Zhao Teddy, still groggy, suddenly felt his limbs detach from his body. He blinked to find Ye Wenxin standing before him.

She smiled at Zhao Teddy, but it was a smile filled with cruelty.

Her beautiful face seemed to him like the most ruthless of vipers.
