"you're in a relationship and you're still third wheeling us? do you not have a life!" honey yelled at me.

"you're my friend, he's my best friend. i can't hang out with him without you there, cause you're always together! what do you expect from me!" i replied.

"bring your girl with you, so at least we're an even number." she suggested.

"she's a busy woman, i can't take her everywhere i want to go." replied.

"oh! how'd her meeting with her new manager go?" honey asked.

"she came home with a lot of homework to do to say the least." i replied.

"if her book does well she can quit her job and be a full time author right?" raymond asked.

"i'm not sure that's what she wants now, she loves her job." i replied. "maybe in the future though, i can see her do that."

"i miss her, we should meet up. all of us, just the girls." honey suggested.

"i'll talk to clauida, i don't want to add something onto elle and my girlfriends plate." i replied. "they're both dealing with a lot."

"did elle's morning sickness disappear or is she still struggling?" she asked me.

"i don't live with her, but i'm pretty sure that she doesn't experience them as much." i replied.

"yeah actually, what's up with that?" raymond raised a brow. "she doesn't want to move out of the house she's in so that means that you'll eventually move in?"

"we talked about it before and i decided that we're not deciding until we feel like we really do want to take that step and live together. we'll figure it out as we go." i shrugged.

"her daughter wanted to call you mom and you still don't live there and you're not sure if that'll even happen." raymond stated.

"juniper is the sweetest little girl and i am honored that she wanted to call me her mom, even if i don't have the privilege of that label now i hope i do some day. she's just a baby, you piss me off sometimes raymond, really.  i just want you to trust me in my relationship, cause there is no way it will not be end game. if you don't believe it then be a fucking hater." i responded.

"you are twisting my words."

"am i?" i raised a brow. "cause i feel like you are praying for my downfall. no one knows how to ruin my mood more than you, i need you to stop thinking of worst case scenarios."

"i don't think he meant to upset you billie, he's just worried about you." honey took my hand.

"i'm aware that my relationship is not simple and definitely not one you see everyday, but i'm not naive okay? we've gotten through enough i don't need your criticism as well. what i need is your support as we navigate this together." i expressed. "i really love her you asshole." i hit him when i saw a smile creep up on his face.

"i know you do." he told me. "and i know that she does too and i don't mean to shit on your relationship or make the day harder for you, all i want is to make sure that you are happy. now and in the long run."
