"who's ready for dinner!" i told the little girls bringing them their well nutrient plates, with the biggest smile plastered on my face. the deserve the world, the both of them.

"thank you!" iris giggled.

"you're welcome baby girl." i smiled.

"you gotta stop acting like everything is okay." ellie told me. "your smile is scary."

"oh your water, im sorry baby." i gave juniper her water bottle.

"tank you mama." she giggled.

"you're welcome juni." i tucked her flyaways behind her ear.

"mama?"

"yes baby?"

"i wanna call mom." she told me.

"mom is coming to pick you up tomorrow." i told her.

"from school?" she asked.

"no, she's gonna come here and pick you up."

"my unicorn too!"

"yes baby, now eat you food. then when you're all done, we'll call mom okay?" i told her.

"okay!"

"i need to use the restroom." i excused myself.

the turtle neck i was wearing was making me all the more aware of the pain i was in. scratching my wounded skin, urging me to itch. i pulled down the material that was hugging my neck with my shaky hands and splashed myself with a bit of cold water.

i couldn't help but lift my shirt up a little bit to assess what has been done to me, look at my wrists and wonder when will all of this heal because maybe then i'll feel normal again. "delilah, your food is getting cold." eloise softly said from outside the door.

"i don't want to eat."

"you haven't eaten a thing today."

"i'll throw it up."

"isn't there anything that sounds remotely good to you? we can have nathan go get it for you." she told me.

"no, nothing." i covered myself back up and opened the door. "it's fine, eating right now is more torture than not eating. let me be." i walked back to the dinning table.

"when you're all done tell me baby girl okay?" i kissed the top of her head.

"okay mommy."

a few minutes later both girls we done with their dinner. i took juni, to get washed up and in her pajamas, then we called her mom. "hey delilah!" luna answered the face time call and for a split second i could see that she made a face, like she could tell something was off. i quickly gave juni the phone and let them talk for twenty minutes or so before i had to let them know that it was time for bed.

juniper went running into her room and gave me the phone, "what time are you going to be here exactly? so i can get her all ready to go?"

"nine is good?" she asked.

"yeah, perfect." i nodded. "i'll have time to get her packed up and feed her breakfast."

"okay, i'll see you tomorrow then."

"see you tomorrow, have a good night.", i told her.

i took in a deep breath and walked over to the girls' room. "i can tuck her in tonight, ive got her." elle followed me.

"i'm tucking her in." i shook my head.

"you should take it easy on yourself."

"no, not when it comes to juni." i shook my head.
