Chapter 92-Let it Out

Daniel stumbled into his living room, tiredness and stress taking over his body. As he made his way into the kitchen, a picture caught his eye, making him stop in his tracks. He picked up the picture, which was a family photo of him, Amanda, Sam, and Anthony and sighed sadly.

Amanda and Daniel had gone to a charity event, which coincidentally was held at Terry's house. Daniel tried to hide his resentment towards the man for Amanda's sake as going to this charity event would've helped her get onto the board. Of course, doing what he does best, Terry got into Daniel's head, making comments about Amanda, Y/N and other things he knew would push Daniel's buttons. Daniel lashed out and shoved Terry causing him to fall backwards and break the bonsai tree collection Daniel had brought for the auction.

When Daniel and Amanda got home, Amanda told Daniel she was done and she packed her things before grabbing Sam and Anthony and taking off back home to Ohio, where she was staying with her mother. Now it was just Daniel and Chozen in the house, making Daniel sink within himself. He had screwed up this time and yet he still wanted Terry to take all the blame.

Daniel poured himself a glass of bourbon before sitting down at his kitchen table, exhaling loudly. He took a swig of bourbon as Chozen entered the room and walked over to the coffee machine. "You slept late." Chozen commented. "I went to bed late." Daniel responded. Chozen turned to look at Daniel, leaning against the counter.

"Daniel-san, family will return." Chozen stated. "Sure about that?" Daniel questioned. "Hai. Family is most important thing to all of you. Strong bonds forged together." Chozen replied. "Strong bonds, huh?" Daniel scoffed. "And all it took was Terry Silver to break 'em."

"That is why we must defeat him."

"Try selling that to Amanda."

Daniel took another sip of his bourbon as Chozen picked up the mail and started shuffling through it. "That son of a bitch knew exactly what he was doing. How could she not see through him? How does everyone not see through him?" He asked.

Chozen stopped going through the mail when something caught his eye. It was a newspaper clipping from the Kreese case, and it looked like someone had wrote on it. Chozen handed Daniel the clipping, causing Daniel to look at him in confusion. "Where'd this come from?" He asked, studying it.

"With mail. No envelope. This is Cobra Kai sensei." Chozen stated, pointing to the mugshot of Kreese. "Was Cobra Kai sensei. Silver's partner before he was sent to prison for beating this guy half to death." Daniel explained, pointing to the artist sketch of Stingray testifying in court.

Above the picture the word LIAR was written in red ink and there was an address underneath. "Apparently someone wants me to think there's more to the story here." Daniel said. "We must speak with this man." Chozen stated. "And then what? We get another furniture store burned down? For all we know, this is Silver sending us on a wild goose chase so he could screw up my life even worse." Daniel mumbled, going for another sip of bourbon.

Chozen grabbed his arm, stopping him from taking a drink. "Could be. Or could be answer to expose Silver and get family back." Chozen stated, turning to pour Daniel a cup of coffee. He filled up a travel mug before setting it down in front of Daniel. "Best to see for ourselves."

An air horn blared through the air, causing the door to Miguel's, Johnny's and a neighbor to open up. After Daniel stumbled into Johnny's apartment, half drunk and ready to fight him, the two had a beer and talked.

After their talk, Johnny realized that he had been going about trying to patch up Robby and Miguel's relationship all wrong. He was forcing them into close situations that they didn't want to be in. It was the same as him and Daniel. What Robby and Miguel needed was to beat the crap out of each other. At least that what Johnny hoped.
