Chapter 41- Coyote Creek

Unfortunately, Johnny's friend, Tommy passed away. Turns out he used to be a Cobra Kai student as well. One of the best according to Johnny. Johnny attended the funeral, leaving Y/N in charge again. This meant she couldn't sneak off to Miyagi Do anymore which was unfortuante. Apparently, all the new kids were doing great and learning some new things. Y/N wished she was there to witness it all.

In other news, Miguel and Tory officially started dating. Y/N was hurt, of course, but not as much as last time. She was actually more upset by the fact that Tory went after Miguel in the first place when it was obvious Y/N like him. Maybe if Y/N would've told Tory, she might not have gone out with Miguel? Seems unlikely.

The kids were standing on the mats doing their stretches when the door to the dojo opened. Johnny walked in, carrying a duffel bag. He gave a small smile to the kids as he walked off towards his office. Miguel and Y/N broke away from the other kids to go talk to him

"Hey, sensei, we're sorry about your loss," Miguel stated. "Thanks," Johnny replied, clearing his throat. If he thought about it, he'd get upset. "So, how was the funeral?" Y/N asked softly. "As good as any funeral can be." He replied. Y/N and Miguel just nodded. "So, how'd it go around here while I was gone?"

"Great. I mean Sensei Kreese is tough, but he knows what it takes to win." Miguel replied. Johnny glanced at Y/N but she gave him a look, signaling they needed to discuss the matter later. Miguel was starting to become like Kreese and he probably wasn't going to like what she had to say.

Johnny walked into his office while Miguel and Y/N went back onto the mats, still dressed in their clothes. Earlier Kreese had told them he had some special training he wanted to do in the woods, meaning they wouldn't need their gis. Y/N didn't know what the special training was going to be but at this point, she learned not to question the methods of Cobra Kai.

"Alright everyone get your gis on, Training starts in five minutes," Johnny instructed, walking out of his office with Kreese behind him. Everyone looked around and started murmuring in confusion. "What's wrong?" Johnny asked exaspherated. "No-no-nothing's wong. I just thought we were going to the woods for a special training today." Miguel replied hesitantly. Johnny's head whipped to look at Kreese before he turned back to look at the kids. "What's happening in the woods?" He asked worriedly. "Well, I thought it was a good time to separate the men from the boys," Kreese stated. Aisha, Tory, and Y/N glared at the man. "And the girls too, I suppose." He added.

"What?" Johnny questioned, turning to look at Kreese. "Coyote Creek." He responded.  Johnny sighed and closed his eyes in anger before opening them again. "I'm not sure they're ready for that." He muttered to Kreese. Johnny hated Coyote Creek, it brought out the worst in people. He didn't want that to happen to his students. Kreese scoffed. "There's only one way to find out."

Johnny clenched his jaw. "We're ready Sensei. We wanna prove ourselves." Hawk stated proudly. The other kids murmured in agreement. "It's up to Sensei Lawrence. If he says it's ok, then, and only then, is it ok." Kreese declared. How does the man change moods so quickly?

The kids all looked at Johnny with pleading eyes. Even Miguel was silently begging with his eyes. Y/N, on the other hand, was hesitant. If Johnny was hesitant about doing something, then he obviously didn't like it. Johnny sighed. "All right, what are you waiting for? Let's go."

The kids all cheered and walked off while Y/N decided to wait for Johnny. "I'm going with you, whether you like it or not." She declared, following him to his car. "Fin by me. We need to talk anyways." He replied as he unlocked the car. The two got in and buckled up before he hit the gas, speeding away from the dojo. "So what was it really like with Kreese?" Johnny asked. Y/N sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "I don't trust him." She replied. Johnny glanced at her sideways. "Why not?"
