"Why are you in my agency instead of school?" Airy interrogated, displeased with how this future hero-to-be was already in her hero suit.

"I want to train. I'll drop out of school. I don't care if I'm stuck as a sidekick for the rest of my life. I have my hero license." She bluntly responded.

"Yea, hell no. You're going back to school and let actual heroes take care of Animus." He urged, using his quirk to gently push her out of his office. Though that only angered her, activating one of her serpents to dispel his cloud.

"Well it's been months since I've been kidnapped from this creep, and you stupid heroes haven't done anything but blabber on the news saying you have everything under control!" Her voice, now laced with poison, cut deep with Airy. Feeling as though he had failed her mother.

"You're a child. You're closer to being a middle schooler than having your first drink. Heroes have more responsibilities than just dealing with Animus!" He yelled in a fit of rage.

"Well then I'll do it myself."

"Damn it! No you won't. I'll tell Aizawa and All Might, your dad and brother, if you dare step out of my office with the mindset of being a high school dropout."

"Then make me your apprentice." She smirked, looking back at him.

"Your work study starts in a month, just wait till then. I'll even let you work double shifts with me, ok?"

"Nope, too late. I already told Aizawa that I'll be out for two weeks for 'personal reasons'. He'll understand with the news of Animus' return." She smiled, flipping her phone to prove confirmation from her teacher that he'll provide remedial lessons for her to do in her own time.

"You sly fox, you were never planning on dropping out. And also! Guilt tripping your teachers is a big no-no." He sighed, slumping back into his seat. "Alright fine, we can start now. But two things."

"Shoot."

"Well why do you want to train right now? You're already getting top tier education from the top heroes, why are you choosing to start your work study early rather than continuing your normal high school life. And two, what are you going to do about your attendance? Surely your dad or even your brother will see all the missing classes!"

"I can't tell you why I need a jumpstart on my work study right now." She masked, not wanting to tell Airy the sudden news she revealed. "As for my family, I told my dad that I was at a training camp so I expect to see absences. As for my brother, I simply changed the password of my student center. So now that I answered all your answers, can we start?"

In the middle of an empty alley, a girl stood, trembling. Her face was pale, eyes wide with fear, lips cracked from the constant, wrenching coughs that seemed to break through her chest, each one deeper and more violent than the last.

With every cough, dark smoke billowed from her mouth, thick and swirling like oil. It rolled out in harsh, cloying clouds, wrapping around her and choking the air around her. The smoke didn't dissipate. It lingered, an inky fog that seemed to crawl up her skin, as if trying to swallow her whole. Her lungs burned, but the coughing wouldn't stop, each breath feeling like it pulled from a darker place, deeper within her.

She stumbled forward, each cough splitting the silence of the night like a cracking whip. The world around her seemed to warp with each exhalation, the alley stretching and twisting, bending into something unnatural. The black smoke formed shapes—shadows, almost figures, rising from the ground, moving toward her, as if they were alive, hungry, waiting for her to crumble under their suffocating embrace.

Her hands shook as she tried to cover her mouth, but it was no use. The smoke kept coming, pouring out of her body as if it was coming from somewhere deep inside. Her breath was ragged, the very air she tried to inhale now thick with the dark substance.

Behind her, the sound of soft, dragging footsteps echoed against the wet pavement. She spun around, eyes wide with terror, but there was nothing there. Just the blackness, stretching farther, darker than it should be. It was as if the night itself was swallowing her whole. Her body was trembling uncontrollably now, not from the cold but from the panic, the helplessness.

The smoke wasn't just coming from her anymore. It was coming from the shadows around her, creeping along the walls, swirling in the corners of her vision. She could hear whispers now, faint, disembodied voices—hollow, distorted, like they were coming from deep within the smoke itself. The air grew heavier, pressing down on her chest, making it harder to breathe.

As the dark cloud around her thickened, she could feel the ground beneath her feet start to shift, like the earth itself was moving, twisting, pulling her into a dark abyss. Desperately, she tried to run, but her legs were weak, buckling beneath her. Every step felt heavier, the air more suffocating. The smoke was closing in, wrapping around her like a noose.

"What the hell is wrong with me?" She croaked, slipping down the dewed brick wall. "Yuzuki what the fuck is wrong with me?" She demanded, declining the frantic calls coming from Airy.

"How the hell should I know?" It spat, its raspy voice made her ears ring. But no matter how hard she pressed her hands into her ears, the nosies wouldn't stop. "You're both the longest host I've had and the first who wanted to be some wannabe hero. You're probably just overworking yourself like a loser, why don't cha just go back to being a little school girl and live your little high school life, hmm?"

Annoyed with his response, she staggered up and began limping her way back to the main street where she met face to face with Airy.

"You imbecile! There you are, jeez, I turn away to talk to the police for two god damn minutes and you run off from me!" He scolds, choosing to ignore the tired look on her face, already knowing the only response he will get is a 'I'm fine, just tired, now leave me alone.' Kind of answer.

"Sorry, I thought that I saw a classmate and didn't want them to see me." She fabricated, straightening her back a bit more to seem a little more lively than how she actually felt.

"Alright fine, I'll believe you. But does that really matter? You're going back to school tomorrow, why does it matter if they see you?"

"I don't know... It's just awkward seeing them out-and-about after I just disappeared for a bit."

"Well, you shoulda thought of that before twisting my arm like that." He chuckled, slinging a friendly arm around her shoulder and letting all his weight fall onto her. "Now I'm sooo hungry and tired, why don't I treat us as a little send off."

"I'm only gone for a few days. I'm coming back to start my actual work study."

"Yea yea..."
