Where have you been

It's been two weeks now since the disappearance of their classmate, despite the students pleas for answers from their homeroom teacher, he kept a stone cold face. Then one day, when Iida stepped foot into class, he saw a familiar figure slumped over a once vacant seat.

"l/n? Is that you?!" He shouted, dashing straight to her seat. Slowly picking up her head from the clamor, a displeasing scowl displayed on her face.

"Yes, it's me." She blatantly answered, turning her head away from him.

"Enough with the curt responses! You've been out for two weeks, not telling anyone where you ventured off to! You know how worried your fellow classmates and I were during that period of time?"

"Everything's fine Iida, I apologize for ghosting you all, something came up and I had to take care of it." She sighed, dipping her head into the nook of her elbow.

"Jeez Iida, who are you scolding at this early in the morning?" Yawned Jiro, accompanied by Tokoyami. Their eyes fell onto a once unoccupied desk, and their once half shut eyes widened in realization that their peer has now returned after weeks without notice. News amongst 1-A spread as Jiro hastily called everyone announcing that f/n had finally returned.

Unfortunately for f/n, she wasn't able to get some rest, instead she was bombarded with even more questions than the hero of speed could come up with earlier in the morning.

"Are you ok f/n?"

"Were you sick?"

"Aizawa said you would be out but wouldn't tell us anything more!"

Growing more and more irritated by the second, she pushed out of her seat, surprising everyone. "I'm fine can't you see?!" And slammed the door shut, leaving everyone else in the room speechless.

Shit, why did I act that way? The irked girl questioned, her mind was clouded in a sea of darkness. She couldn't even form words in her head and everything would just spill out of her mouth.

She didn't even realize how she even ended up at the emergency staircase. Her legs were like jello, as if she ran a whole marathon and yet she isn't even five classes down her own. "Yo Yuzuki, what are you doing to my head?"

"I told you this once before, I've never had a hero host, mostly low-life weirdos. I haven't changed, shit kid."

"The hell, first you disappear now you're talking to yourself? Fucking weirdo!" A familiar voice yelled out from behind her. It was none other than Bakugou.

"HOLY SHIT!" Shrieked f/n, her quirk unknowingly activating and ready to strike. Noticing her stance she deactivated her dragons and mumbled a curt apology.

"Tch, here." He says shoving a small red container into her hands. "You better eat it or I'll kill you for wasting food!"

"Oh thanks, but what are you doing using the staircase? The elevators are so much closer to our class." F/n questioned, taking a quick look at the steaming hot salmon and rice.

"Unlike you nerds, I take the stairs everyday for exercise! Maybe you should try it sometime!" And with that he swiftly left.

"Jeez, what's his issue?" She muttered, simultaneously opening the container revealing some Mapo Tofu, the heat of said dish burning the hairs of her nose. But the smell didn't revolt her, instead it brought a warm feeling inside her heart. Slowly she scooped a spoonful into the container and took a big bite.

The spices danced the tango on her tongue and she could feel the tears form around her eyes. But the tears didn't stop, and she soon realized it wasn't the food that got her breaking down. She couldn't put a word to describe how she was feeling, the tears were a never ending raging river.

She cried in that stairwell for a while. The only thing that could cease her moment was the bell signifying it was time to start the school day.

"Alright, the Hero Work studies are similar to when you did your internship. The only difference is that you can now legally use your quirk in battle. So think about who you want to work alongside with carefully." Aizawa slurred, still decked out in his yellow sleeping bag. f/n couldn't be bothered to pay attention to the rest of his lecture, she had already set her mind out to take on a work study with Airy. Who promised to focus on Animus as long as she returned to school.

Sometime later, the class of 1-A found themselves back in their dorm. Why? Because two of their peers have already scored some work studies with some pretty notable heroes.

"Midoriya! You actually got Sir Nighteye to take you?" Kirishima gasped in awe, "That's sick bro! Man I wish I could find someone soon, the hero I did my internship never takes students on for a work study."

"Same!" Interjected Ochako, "f/n, you're lucky that Airy still took you on despite barely having any sidekicks." That was one of the many reasons why the majority of class 1-A didn't already have a work study lined up. Since now the students were able to be on front lines, any injuries they sustained would be on the pros. And without the backup of sidekicks, most heroes decline.

"Yeah, luck." She whispered, "Anyways, I'm going to bed." She quickly arose from her spot on the coach and made her way to the elevators. But instead of doing her normal nighttime routine, she found herself magnetized to her bed. Crashing as soon as her head hit the pillow.

"It's almost time, soon enough, your body will belong to me." A voice within boomed.
