Strength has been an anchor for some people.
For others, strength feels like a facade
, as if you must go through the motions,
always being strong for everyone around you.
Which is beautiful,
and takes courage,
but what about your strength?
You are a human, not a robot.
You have felt broken into tiny pieces,
thinking no one sees you,
or sees you break down when you are alone,
begging for someone to notice you,
to see your true feelings,
to see that you aren't as strong
As you made everyone think.
You see the world differently,
And you choose strength
for when others can't find theirs.
It's okay if your strength turns into tears,
or into vulnerability.
Within that, there is strength.
Because you cannot always have it together,
Or have your life perfectly lined up.
You are allowed to feel weak,
allowed to fall short of being strong.
Not everything is your responsibility.
It's okay to put those boundaries,
to limit yourself.
It doesn't make you any less strong.
Strength is the resilience you face
When you are alone,
begging for someone to notice you,
and when no one does—
You manage to pick yourself right back up.
That is strength right there.
You aren't as weak or pathetic as you thought.
You aren't as broken as you think you are.
You are human.
And God sees you.
He sees you break down at night,
not knowing what to do,
not knowing how you are going to get through it.
When no one listens to you,
or sees your true feelings
God sees it.
And He loves you.
He sees how strong you have always been,
and He wants to be the one to take it from you.
When you no longer have strength,
Jesus wants to be the one to take over for you.
He wants to fight for you.
He wants to protect and heal you.
Jesus knows how it feels.
As He was nailed to the cross by the very people He loved,
And still, He chose love.
Still, He chose you.
When you have no strength,
Jesus does.
Jesus has His arms wrapped around you, holding you up
When you think you are going to fall.
Jesus is there, waiting to pick you back up.
He sees your heart
and sees how much weight you are carrying.
He wants to carry it for you.
Whenever you feel weak,
God welcomes you in with open arms to take it from you.
He sees how much stress you put on yourself.
He sees you.
Even when you don't have strength,
God's love and strength remain.
