The train chugged into the Crystal Empire, Malibu and his friends walking out through the town, Pinkie doing her usual hopping up and down.

Malibu glanced about at the city, never getting enough of the shiny aspect of it. Spike himself continued to smile as they approached his statue. "Seems only yesterday I was saving this place from being totally destroyed. Hey, you guys remember that?"

He leaned against his statue with a smile, Malibu chuckling and rolling his eyes, Rainbow Dash doing the same thing. "You only mentioned it about 15 times on the train here..." She muttered.

Rarity gave her a wink. "And we never hear a peep out of you about your exploits." She giggled, making Dash flush, Malibu giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I never get bored of your stories." He murmured, the two nuzzling.

Spike groaned, face palming. "Get a room!" He grumbled, the Mane 7 laughing as Twilight though looked rather downcast.

"I'm glad you all wanted to come, but I don't think it is going to be that exciting. I pretty much just smile and wave as the dignitaries arrive." She muttered, ears slightly low.

Rarity tried to cheer her up. "Yes, but you get to smile and wave like a princess." She tried to say.

Malibu stared blankly at her. "And how is that any different? I'm a prince, and I just smile and wave normally." 

The white unicorn cleared her throat awkwardly, Fluttershy watching Twilight in worry. "What's wrong, Twilight?"

Pinkie Pie popped in next to her, tugging on Twilight's face comically. "Why the looooong face?" She asked, Twilight rubbing it before continuing.

"I've been feeling a little unsure about things lately. It doesn't seem that my new role as a princess equates to all that much." She said softly.

Malibu blinked in shock. "What do you even mean by that? I hardly have my own kingdom at all but my mom still sees me as an equal in royalty."

She glared. "This is different."

Applejack smiled. "That's just silly, Twi. You got a real important role in Equestria."

Fluttershy nods. "Princess Celestia wouldn't have asked you to come today if she didn't think so."

It caused the mulberry alicorn to agree if reluctantly. "I guess you're right."

Rarity giggles. "Of course we are, silly. Now hurry along! You don't want to risk having that important role diminished because you were tardy for your regal meet and greet."

Malibu grins at her. "Besides, whatever she has for you, I'm sure will be really important."

He wasn't exactly quite right as the actual meeting happened, horns blaring as Flash Sentry gave the announcement. "The Duke and Duchess of Maretonia!" 

Malibu stood right next to his mom. Even though he wasn't her son by blood, she desired for him to be at a lot of meet and greets even during his friendship lessons once in a while. He and the other three princesses approached the Duke and Duchess who looked rather posh.

Twilight herself was up high where the banner was in a window of the crystal castle, using her magic to unfurl the banner, and smiled and waved. Malibu saw that, grimacing awkwardly, waving back at her, mouthing he will see her soon as Spike shouted "That's it?! Princess Celestia had you come all the way out here just for that?!"
