S4 E23 everypony! Equestria Games is up next!

.....

The sunlight shone down into Ponyville as Malibu trotted through some lines of tents the town was setting up for a fair, seeing Pinkie Pie giving the announcement.

"Hear ye, hear ye! The Ponyville Foal and Filly Fair is almost ready to begin!" She cheered, Malibu smiling since he loved fairs himself, and was hoping to take Rainbow Dash to this one later tonight now that they finally sealed their pact as a couple, even if not married yet.

His mind drifted back to the feather she had given him, now wondering if that was possibly his key, hoping they will eventually figure out what is in the chest soon.

After watching Pinkie bouncing around the fair for a while, Malibu chuckled and found himself wandering towards Carousel Boutique to see what Rarity had in store for the fair.

Inside he found Rarity fawning over her new creation which was a really elegant looking puppet theater. She looked about at the sight of him. "Hi Rar!" Malibu greeted in his usual way.

Rarity smiled, fluttering her lashes. "Oh, Malibu! You're just in time to see this marvelous creation!" She cooed, putting a hoof on the golden puppet theater, Spike nearby doing his fawning over Rarity like he normally did.

"Whoa, that really looks pretty neat." Malibu complimented, looking the puppet theater over.

She nods, flushing. "Yes. Just because the attendees are young doesn't mean they don't deserve my very best creative work. Why, this puppet theater is going to be the talk of the Foal and Filly Fair!"

Spike himself smiles awkwardly, swishing his tail. "How could it not be? You're the one making it."

Malibu rolled his eyes from that but he still could tell that Spike really loved Rarity when she leans into nuzzle him. "Oh! But I couldn't have done it without the help of one of my dearest and most supportive friends! You are my favorite dragon!"

Spike's eyes lit up. "Your favorite dragon? Aw, gee..."

Malibu nudged him playfully. "Easy there, Romeo. She might want to design a personal outfit for you next." He said teasingly under his breath though Spike simply gives him a glare while Rarity laid down on her fainting couch. "The hours have been long, the work taxing beyond compare, but it will all be worth it when we hear those three little words!"

....

"This is awful!" Shouted the puppet master named Claude when Rarity finally brought her theater over for him.

Spike and Malibu's eyes blinked in shock at what the guy said, Rarity the most in disbelief. "Awful?" She croaked.

Claude turned up his nose. "And completely unusable!" He spun the wheels on the theater. "Hmmm... ugh! It doesn't travel!" He also tried putting his puppets in the display but Malibu now could see it was too small. "And there's no room for my puppets!"

He turns his back on the white fashion pony. "It appears I won't have a traveling puppet theater to use after all!" Claude huffed, stalking off, even his puppets rolling their eyes which somewhat creeped Malibu out.

The teal alicorn grinned in his own awkward way at Rarity who looked ready to cry, Spike trying to cheer her up. "I don't know what that guy was talking about, this thing is perfect!"

The clone gargoyle cleared his throat, still awkward. "Well, um, it is kinda... small..."

It made Rarity sniffle, running away back to the boutique, Spike turning in anger. "Why did you say that?!" He stormed, Malibu flinching. "I didn't mean..."
