Journal Lessons: The Key To Love

Finally, the 100th chapter! I'm still excited to do the S4 finale when it eventually comes with a lot of Tirek moments.

Malibu yawned, opening his eyes one morning in Sweet Apple Acres, stretching his hooves. Today was an important day for him since he and his mare friend were going out on another date. One important one at that.

It was the date where they make the vows to always be special someponies for life. Malibu never felt more nervexcited in his whole life.

He jumped down from his bed, running down the stairs, seeing Big Mac making his usual pancakes. "Eyup!" Big Mac greeted in his usual way, Malibu nodding in his direction.

Applejack noticed his rush. "Y'stayin' for breakfast, Mal?"

The teal alicorn shook his head. "Going to grab something from Sugarcube Corner before I meet up with Rainbow. The big date's finally happening!"

Applejack blinked before smiling. "Oh, yes. Ahm happy for you both. You go get her." She said with a wink, Malibu grinning, before taking off out the door and flying into Ponyville.

He entered Sugarcube Corner to receive his quick breakfast and to eventually meet up with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie already there serving customers. She looked at him with her bright eyes. "Oh, hi Malibu! What would you be wanting today?"

The former gargoyle strode up to the counter. "Just a few cinnamon buns, thanks Pinkie. But is Rainbow around yet?"

She nods. "Dash is just clearing out a few clouds but she told me about... the big date." The pink party pony said with her own wink. Malibu flushed from that but got his cinnamon rolls after Pinkie Pie pulled them out. "Yeah, we're going to see the new Daring Do movie that just released together."

Pinkie Pie gave a squeal. "That sounds so romantic! I hope you both have a good time on your date!"

Malibu fluttered his wings while eating his cinnamon rolls which were still really good from Pinkie Pie's cooking. He walked outside of Sugarcube Corner, spotting the familiar rainbow blur from above, and landed in front of him, pushing her mane back.

Rainbow Dash smiled. "Hey, gargoyle boy. You ready?" She asked, nudging him. Malibu gulped but nodded, ready as he will ever be, the two of them flying off together into the sky towards where the movie theater is in Canterlot since Malibu got them both really good seats for the movie called Daring Do and the Griffin's Goblet.

When they flew past the Everfree Forest, they were unaware that a pair of green devilish eyes watched them from afar. It happened to be a rogue Changeling that had abandoned Chrysalis since the Canterlot Wedding disaster. He growled softly up at the young couple, smelling the love just oozing from them just smiling lovingly at each other, even nuzzling their noses.

The Changeling had a light sneer on his face. "I will take the rainbow one to start. That prince bears the Element of Love, my tribe will feast for months on him. He probably overflows with it." He leered, licking his lips from the thought.

Malibu's eyes darted to Rainbow Dash, wanting to say something, anything to her. He longed to get what he was feeling off of his chest. Rainbow Dash looked over at him. "Hey, Mal? You alright?"

He gulped again, nodding. "Y-Yeah. It's just... we've been dating for quite a while now, and... I've been having these strong feelings. Like we were really meant to be together."

Rainbow Dash had a gentle look on her muzzle. "I had felt the same way. You're cool, you can fly, and a fellow Element of Harmony." She said until her ears picked up a strange sound, that sounded weirdly like buzzing. "What's that?"
