Make New Friends But Keep Discord

On a nice sunny day at Fluttershy's cottage in the outskirts of Ponyville, a familiar laugh echoed from there, which happened to be Discord's. He and Malibu were both enjoying some tea with the yellow Pegasus who was giggling at a joke Discord said.

"Ohoho, but that's not all! When I went to look for them again, they were on the ceiling!" Discord sniggered, Malibu's mouth forming a grin at the Draconequus' absurd jokes. "Yeah, good one, D." He replied, sipping his tea.

Fluttershy giggled more. "Oh, Discord, I've never known anypony as funny as you! I love that story about the time you tried to train your right paw..." another giggle escaped "To fetch your left leg!" She managed to calm down long enough to give a little sigh. "Oh, I do love our Tuesday teas, and I can't wait for you both to meet my friend Tree Hugger! She's going to love you too."

Malibu blinked at her words, having never heard of this Tree Hugger pony before, especially Discord. "Tree... Hugger?" He chortled, finding the name rather ridiculous. 

The teal alicorn flapped his wings. "How'd you meet this Tree Hugger, Fluttershy?" He asked curiously.

Fluttershy smiled. "I met her on a trip to see the Breezies. She's a member of the Equestrian Society for the Preservation of Rare Creatures." She said with excitement in her eyes.

Discord scoffed, apparently not too pleased about her new friend. "How nice for you." He began to munch on his tea cup, Malibu's brow raised but accepting since this is Discord. "We're all gonna have so much fun together at the Grand Galloping Gala!" Fluttershy squeeed, making Malibu remember how he asked Rainbow Dash out a few weeks ago to this one.

The Draconequus grinned big. "Oh, I was wondering when you were going to ask me. I'd love to!" His tail wagged in eagerness, Malibu normally never seeing him this happy too much.

Fluttershy though now looked downcast. "Oh. Oh, no. Um, I'm afraid I've already asked Tree Hugger." She said quietly.

Malibu grimaced at the reply, looking towards Discord who was now frowning big, crossing his arms. "I'm sorry, Discord. I assumed you'd have your own ticket since you and Princess Celestia are friends now. Were you not invited?"

Discord halted in eating his tea cup, zapping it away quickly with a nervous grin. "Who, me? It probably got lost in the mail. No biggie, as the foals say." He said, gritting his teeth, Malibu raising his brow. "Well, gotta go." He grunted.

Fluttershy looked upset, holding up the tea cakes she had. "But we haven't had any of our Tuesday tea cakes!" She pleaded, Discord taking the platter and folding it up, the tray disappearing as well. "Well, I guess we're just going to have to exclude them from our party this time." His eyes blinked. "Oh, did I say that out loud? I mean, ta-ta." He huffed, finally disappearing.

Malibu's ears fell, grimacing. "Awkward..." He muttered, shuffling his hooves. Fluttershy looked down. "I'm really sorry you had to see that between us. Sure your time with Dashie will probably be more romantic." She murmured.

It had the clone of Brooklyn shrug. "No problem. I'll be going to meet her, Applejack and Rarity at the Boutique to help them get the CMCs ready for their first Gala. But let me know whenever I can meet Tree Hugger too. When is she coming?"

A smile appeared back on Fluttershy. "This afternoon on the train. She would love to meet a clone gargoyle from another dimension turned into an alicorn, I'm sure." The yellow Pegasus said with a light giggle.

Malibu smirked, heading on his way. "Then tell her to ensure she doesn't freak at the sight of me." He joked, giving her a wave before heading on his way.

He managed to make his way to the Boutique, knocking on the door. It was opened by Rainbow Dash, Malibu's face growing warm at the sight of her. "Oh, Mal! Right on time! You can help me pick out my own Gala dress too!" She said, pulling him playfully in, Malibu yelping but not minding, spotting Applejack too sitting at a table with what appeared to be a card game with their cutie marks including his that she and Dash were playing.
