Chapter 40 : Things Happening Fast

Rora's Pov

I woke up in the early morning as I wanted to prepare breakfast food. I quickly took a quick shower, brush my teeth and wash my face. After that, I decided to wear a light blue short chiffon dress and tie my hair into a nice bun. Then, I started to cook Amy's favourite food and make a hot coffee for myself. "Smells good!" Amy said loudly as soon as she entered the kitchen. "You startled me." I said while placing the food on top of the table. "Sorry. I'm just curious." She said and sat on a chair. "By the way, why are you in a hurry?" She asked while observing me. "I have an extra duty to do." I replied quickly. "Ok. See ya tonight." She told me and started to eat her breakfast food that I made.
I quickly drink my hot coffee, took my handbag and wear my heels quickly. "Rora! You forgot this!" She ran quickly to me and pass me my jacket. "Oh thanks!" I thanked her and wave her goodbye.
Before I could press the elevator button, the door flew open causing me to startled again. "Hey." I look up to that person as I knew whose vouce it is. "Jiyong? Why are you here?" I asked in surprise. "I want to send you to your workplace." He answered. "Perfect." I went in the elevator without hesitating. "You seemed to be in a rush." He said while observing me. "Ya. I got extra duty to do." I answered the same thing again.
After we reached his fancy car, he opened the car door for me and it was nice of him. When I sat down at the front seat, I realised Taeyang and Lora were at the back seat. It really made me startled again but luckily, I did not show it to them. "Hi Rora!" Lora greeted me happily. "Hey Lora and Taeyang!" I greeted happily back at both of them. "Hey." Taeyang greeted me back and gave me a bright smile.
As soon as Jiyong sat at his driver's seat, he automatically drove his car to my workplace quickly so that I would not miss my work. After we reached there, I was about to leave the car when Jiyong pull me inside. "Kiss." He said sweetly to me and look at me in the eye, causing me to blush. "Fine." I said sweetly back to him and gave him a quick kiss. "Bye." I said and wave goodbye at him.
He wave me back and he was sming all the way. I noticed that Taeyang was annoyed when I kissed Jiyong but that is what couples do. I am with Jiyong right now so it is right for me to kiss him. I walk quickly to my workplace and do everyday routine. As I was placing books on the shelfs, I remembered that Taeyang and I touch the book at the same time. I shook off my head, trying not to recollect the past and continue doing my work. After 4 hours, I decided to take a break. I sat down on a comfy chair and rest for a while. Suddenly, I received a text from Jiyong. I quickly read it through and my reaction was excited.

Jiyong : Wanna join me for dinner tonight? :)
Me : Sure! Only both of us right?
Jiyong : Of course. Why do you ask?
Me : Cause you always like to bring at least a person to join us. :/
Jiyong : Today, it's just us and wear something nice. ;) Pick you up at 8.
Me : Will wait for you.

I ended the message and decided to have a quick lunch. After a long day of work, I decided to take a cab rather taking a bus as I wanted to get some rest at home. I reached home around 5 and I decided to find something nice to wear for tonight. I kept searching through my closet to find a right dress to wear but failed to find one. Suddenly, my eyes caught a nice black dress. I took it out and the dress was gorgeous! I put it on my bed and start doing my hair into curls.

Jiyong's Pov

I decided to wear this black suit as it looks nice on me and I started to do my hair. After 2 hours, I realised that I have to go out now because Rora's house was further than mine. I quickly get dressed, took the invitation card with me and went into my fancy car. After I reached there, I look at my watch and it showed me 7 p.m. I realised I came early and decided to call Rora.

Rora : Hello?
Me : I'm downstairs waiting for you.
Rora : Ok, I'll be there. Bye.

She ended the call fast and I sensed that she is in a hurry. I smiled to think of that as I was the one who always in a hurry and she is always the early one. After a few minutes, she went in my car making me startled. "Sorry I'm late." She apologised to me and kept panting. "You don't need to be sorry. I'm the one who came early." I said while wiling her sweat on her forehead with a tissue. "Why didn't you text me that you'll come early to fetch me?" She asked. "Why can't I be early? Besides, you always wanted me to be punctual like you." I told her. "Ok fine. You're early and I'm late." She confessed. "You're beautiful tonight." I complimented her as I look at her. "Thanks." She said shyly. "Anyways, why are we dressed up so fancy?" She asked me curiously. "We're actually attending to this wedding party at a fancy restaurant." I explained to her. "Who's wedding is this?" She asked. "An old friend of mine." I answered. "Ok." She said happily and I drove off.
After we reached there, we showed the invitaion card to the guard outside the building and went in. One of the workers there, showed our table and Rora seemed to like it. We ordered our food and wait. Not far from us, we saw the bride and groom. "Want to come with me to the groom and the bride?" I asked Rora who looked super happy. "No thanks. I'll wait here." She replied. "I'll be back." I told her and left.

Rora's Pov

As Jiyong walks to the groom and the bride, they greeted each other and talk. I just smile and kept looking at Jiyong. He looks so good in that suit. Suddenly, a lady came to me. "Rora?!" I looked to that lady and it was Lora. "Hey!" I said in a happy tone.
Suddenly, I saw Taeyang. My smile automatically faded away. I look down and pretend to do something. "Meet you later!" Lora said excitedly and pull Taeyang's hand to other places.
I was relieved by that and my heart stop pumping fast. Within a few minutes, Jiyong came. "I'm back." He said and sat down.
I just smile in response. "What's wrong?" He asked worriedly. "Nothing is just that Lora and Taeyang came." I told him and gave him a stronger smile.
He reached for my hand and I look into his eyes. "Rora. I want to ask you something." He asked nervously and my heart started to pump fast. "Sure." I replied quickly. "I know it's just a year that we've known each other and I promise you that I'll always be with you so....Will you marry me?" He said while pulling out a beautiful ring.
I look at it and I was surprised. "Yes!" I answered his question immediately.
He slide the ring into my finger and kissed my hand. "Do you like it?" He asked again. "I love it!" I told him.
I cannot believe that I am engaged with Jiyong! I did not planned this but I still love it. I thought that he would never ask me to marry him as he is always cautious about his reputation and Bigbang. I felt that my heart is filled with so much happiness and love. I will tell Amy the news once I get home. During dinner, I noticed that Taeyang kept glancing at me and I ignored him. At the same time, I was more focused with Jiyong as he kept talking about our wedding and maybe a new house. I was excited and worried at the same time. "I hope it's not rushing for you Jiyong." I said as I was worried about him. "Of course not. I'm ready to start a family with you and prepare for the worst to come." He said confidently.
We kept holding each other's hand on the table till the food arrives. After dinner, I am glad that I am away from Lora and Taeyang. I just could not stand them around me. I felt the sadness came back to me. "Goodnight Rora." Jiyong said and gave me a kiss. "Goodnight." I said and gave him another kiss.
He went out of the car and pull me in embrace before leaving me. "I love you." He whispered in my ear while embracing me. "I love you too." I whispered back.
We pull away and said goodbyes.
