A/N: Hey guys! I'm thinking of finishing this story soon so...MESSAGE OR COMMENT A QUESTION FOR MY Q&A.

Caitlin's POV

The subtle August wind swept by us as we walked hand in hand across the dark streets of the busy town. We kept our mouths shut as we continued our pace, the only thing we could hear was the sound of my heels scraping against the pavement of the ground. We didn't say anything as we walked but the silence said everything for us.

Although I was extremely happy for convincing my parents into letting me stay, I realized Justin had been a bit off and I couldn't help but think about all the possibilities that were making him feel like this. Did my dad say something to him? Did I say something? I continued to let my thoughts run until I realized we stopped.

"Table for two," I heard Justin say to the man behind the podium. I quickly looked up and noticed we already arrived at the restaurant. There was a sitting area at the front of the restaurant that caught my eye.

"Can we sit here?" I whispered into Justin's ear as I pointed towards the tables at the front. "The weather's nice."

Justin smiled at me, which made me want to melt in his arms, before nodding. "Of course, princess." He looked back up at the waiter who was already holding two menus for us. "We'll sit outside."

The man nodded before guiding us towards a two seated table near the corner. I sat across from Justin and after deciding what we wanted to eat, we handed back the menus and waited for our orders to come. In the mean time, my eyes began to wander around the restaurant.

There were twinkly lights above us, giving the sitting area dim and muted lighting. I liked it, considering the fact that it reminded me of the first time Justin and I went on an actual date. Looking back at the time made me realize how much I changed from then.

It was crazy and practically unbelievable to me how much Justin and I have grown together. It's almost been a year since we've met and it honestly felt longer. We've accomplished so much as a couple and it surprised me even more how this was both his and I's first ever serious relationship.

Despite all the things that were going on, I knew he really was a good guy. However, I wanted him to be honest to me about it. I knew. I always did. I knew what kind of people he hangs out with, I knew what he did back in Vegas before I met him, I knew what things he's been caught up in. I knew everything and although he had opened up to me about his dad before, I really wanted him to open up to me about this.

It's tricky because your mistakes can be a perfect way for someone to judge you. Your past always comes back as a way to haunt you and remind you that you've done wrong and you're supposed to be punished for it. However, a lot of people learn from their mistakes. We shouldn't be labeling people for their choices.

People change for the better and I wish Justin knew that instead of hiding it from me. I wanted him to know that I would never judge him for what he's done because in my eyes, he was perfect. And sure, he's done bad stuff but when he smiles, I only see the good in him.

"What are you thinking about?" Justin's mellow voice snapped me back to reality as I realized our orders were already set in front of us.

"Thank you," I murmured to the waiter as I took my fork in my hand and began to play with my steak before I took a bite out of it.

"Cait," I heard Justin's voice again, causing me to look up. "I said what are you thinking about?" He smirked, knowing all too well about my own little world and how I had the attention span of a fish.

"N-nothing, just looking around the restaurant. I like it here," I replied, trying my best not to make him suspect anything.

"Okay," Justin nodded as he ate his mashed potatoes. "Ugh, I almost forgot. We need wine." A playful smirk appeared on his face as he looked at the drink menu that was set on the table.
