Justin's POV
So much frustration was rushing through me. It was like I could never get a break when it came to Derek. Our friendship was perfectly fine a few months ago until my brother totally fucked it up for me. As you can see, I totally despise Dylan for that.
Basically, my brother and I were at a club that was located out of town and we invited Derek along, thinking it would be a fun night to hangout. I was wrong.
Derek used to work for this guy (he probably still works for him now) and let's just say their business wasn't something to be proud of. He had drugs that were handed to him from the guy and was assigned to sell them around the city . His perfect resource would be a club. A place with a bunch of wasted adults that have plenty of money to spend on shit that could leave them high.
So back to that night, Dylan was totally hammered and stole the little bag of pills as a joke but accidentally lost them somewhere in the club. I think you guys finally notice how stupid my brother is. Derek found out and went nuts. Totally lost it. He got so mad he started choking Dylan at the back of the club and I had to go out there to save his ass. Derek took it the wrong way and he thought I was the one who was in on the plan. He thought I was the one who told my brother to do it.
Ever since that night, he wouldn't forgive me for it and I honestly didn't see him letting it go anytime soon. He lost a shit load of money due to that incident and there was no way he was going to forgive me for it, even though I didn't even lay a finger on his bag of precious pills.
"Cait, get in the car and go." I whispered to her, trying my best not to let Derek hear even though he's in listening distance.
She quickly shut the trunk of her car and took one last look at me. I looked at her and nodded, trying to tell her it was okay. She gulped and quickly opened the front door of her car. I looked back at Derek and waited until I heard the engine of the Toyota start. A few seconds later, I heard the wheels of the car scraping against the ground and it was finally gone.
I looked back at Derek who was still leaning on the wall with the biggest smirk on his face and a cigarette in his left hand. How'd he even find us downtown?
"Come on, Justin. You know running away from me is useless." He exhaled the smoke. "I always catch up."
"Drop it, Derek. You're taking this shit too fucking far. Just let it go, would you? I offered to pay you back for the lost pills, why are you being so stubborn?" I yelled.
My tone came out harsh. His expression dropped and suddenly the wide smile that was plastered on his face a few minutes ago was long gone.
"I lost my fucking job because of that, Justin. I was making good money and you guys had to ruin it for me." He spit back.
He pulled himself off the wall and took a few steps towards me.
"That was a job to you? Don't you hear how fucking pathetic you sound? That boss of yours was using you." I replied, my voice getting louder.
By now my blood was boiling. I haven't met anybody that could make me more angry than Derek could. Everything that came out of his mouth was pure bull shit. God, I never knew a bag of pills could change a guy like that. Looks like it can.
"Now don't make me pound your fucking face in like last time." I warned him, walking off.
"Oh, there's no need for that. I'll just go to your helpless girlfriend." I heard him yell behind me.
I quickly turned around to look at him. My hands were made into fists as I was ready to give him the worst beating of his life. I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him close to me so his face was inches away.
