Jude sat in the Stevens home with Connor's dad Adam. Jude knew Connor would feel ambushed. But this had to be done.
"What time is he getting back from practice?" Jude asked Adam.
"He should be here any moment" Adam told Jude. "But we have to be prepared. He's probably going to lash out at both of us."
Connor eventually entered the house. He stared at the two of them confused.
"What's going on?" Connor asked. "Why is Jude here? Not that I'm upset your here. Just that we were supposed to meet up later."
"Connor" Adam said. "This is an intervention."
"Your intervention" Jude told Connor.
Connor seemed amused.
"Intervention for what?" Connor asked. "It's not like I'm on drugs or alcohol or anything."
"No but your addicted to sports" Adam said. "Your doctor said it be safe if you quit playing sports. But you still haven't. So why haven't you?"
"Look" Connor said. "I have this under control. Okay? I don't need to quit."
"Connor you could die" Jude snapped. "I know you love playing baseball and football. And basketball. But it's dangerous for you to play competitive like that."
"Come on Dad" Connor said. "Your the one who told me how important sports were for my future. Why are you doing this?"
"Things have changed" Adam said. "I love you more than I love sports. I am not going to risk losing my son so you can get a sports schlorship. Okay? I won't lose you like I lost your Mom."
Adam stands up.
"So tomorrow" Adam said. "Your quitting sports all together. I'm sure you can find a new hobby."
"Baseball is my life Dad" Connor said.
"I'm sorry Connor" Adam said. "I really am but your quitting. Okay?"
Connor acted angry but shook his head agreeing with him. Adam walked out of the room. Jude walked to Connor.
"It's going to be okay" Jude said.
"I can't believe you betrayed me like this" Connor told Jude. "How could you do this to me?"
"Connor" Jude tried.
"I think you should leave" Connor told Jude. "I don't feel like talking to you right now."
The next day, Alex walked to his locker and Jude appeared.
"Well Connor still won't talk to me" Jude told Alex. "I knew the intervention was a bad idea."
"Just give it time" Alex replied. "I mean he has to give up the thing he loves most. So of course he's going to be a jerk to everyone he cares about. Speaking of which is he still mad at me for going through his bag?"
"No" Jude told Alex. "That's like so yesterday. His anger is now placed on me."
"Offer him sex" Alex told Jude. "I'm sure some Jonnor love making will help."
"No" Jude said. "Even that won't help this situation."
Across the hallway, Craig stands at his locker and stares at Alex looking love sick. Leo and Chloe walked over to him.
"You know it's never going to happen, right?" Leo told Craig. "Alex Harper hates your guts."
"What are you talking about?" Craig asked.
