Connor sat in class looking upset. Noah looked over at him.
"Dude you seem upset" Noah said.
"I am" Connor told Noah. "I miss Jude."
"Yeah" Noah said. "I miss Alex."
"Well your boyfriend is at home" Connor told Noah. "At least yours isn't in New York. With that idiot Jonas."
"Oh right" Noah replied. "The big trip to AMDC. I bet Jude is ecstatic."
"Yeah" Connor said. "He probably is."
"Do you not think AMDC is a good school?" Noah asked Connor. "I think it's a pretty awesome school. I've actually seen it. It's like legendary. Anyone who's anyone goes there."
"Well not me" Connor replied. "I don't need some fancy school. I mean schools here are just as good for Jude than that New York stupid school."
"You don't want him to leave" Noah noted.
"Well do you want to be far from your boyfriend?" Connor asked Noah.
"Well I'm not insecure about my relationship with Alex" Noah told Connor. "You on the other hand seem very insecure about you and Jude."
"I'm not" Connor replied. "I just want to be able to see his face every day. Is that so wrong?"
"I guess not" Noah replied. "But a lot of people have survived long distance."
"And a lot haven't" Connor pointed out. "Look I've seen what long distance does to people and I don't want that happening to me and Jude."
"Then don't let it" Noah said like the answer was simple.
In New York, Jude and Jonas walked out of the hotel building.
"Your Mom's want us back soon" Jonas told Jude. "So we should probably head on over to AMDC to check it out."
The two then notice a girl saying weird stuff to herself. They walk to her.
"Are you okay?" Jude asked concerned.
"Um what?" She asked. "I'm sorry I was practicing for this TV audition I have today. It's in an hour and I'm so stressed."
"Your an actress?" Jude asked.
"Yeah" the girl said. "I'm Emily Bakerfield by the way. And you are?"
"I'm Jude and this is my friend Jonas" Jude said. "We're on our way to AMDC."
"Wow" Emily said. "I went there for a semester then quit. It was a huge snooze fest."
"What?" Jonas asked.
"They teach you stuff you don't even need to know" Emily told them. "So I quit and started doing auditions. This is my 15th audition."
"Have you passed any of your auditions?" Jonas asked.
"Yes" Emily told them. "I was in a musical a few weeks back. I wasn't the lead but I did get two sing a solo."
Jude smiled.
"You guys should come audition too" Emily told them. "The show is about a family and there's two teen children. A boy and girl. I'm auditioning for the girl obviously. I can pull some strings and get you both an audition."
"We should go" Jonas said.
"No" Jude said. "I want to do this. You can go on without me. Tell them at the college I couldn't make it."
Jonas walked off. Jude smiled at Emily.
At Anchor Beach, Stacy stood at her locker with Connor.
"I don't know what I'm going to tell him" Stacy told Connor.
"Why are you bothering me with this?" Connor asked. "I mean I know we're friends but you and me aren't the mushy type. You never ask my opinion on anything."
"Sorry" Stacy replied. "But Jude is in New York and Alex stayed home today. It's like when one of them misses so does the other one."
"Yeah" Connor said. "Maybe that's how best friends work. Who knows."
Stacy nodded.
"Look you should tell him" Connor told Stacy. "Then you'll feel a lot better."
"I guess your right" Stacy said. "I'll be right back."
Stacy walked over to Ethan.
"So I got into U of L after all" Stacy told Ethan. "So I won't be attending ABSU. love you bye."
Stacy rushed down the hallway and Ethan stared after her confused.
At lunch, Connor sat with Noah.
"The table is completely empty today" Noah said. "God I miss Alex. Me and him have never gone this long without kissing."
"He's been gone for one day" Connor said. "Do you two really make out that much?"
"Yeah we do actually" Noah replied. "His lips are the best thing I've ever tasted."
"You know I did sorta date him" Connor said.
Noah stares in shock.
"You did?" Noah asked. "Please tell me that your joking."
"Did Alex not tell you?" Connor asked.
"He said he dated some loser named Connor" Noah said. "But I had no idea."
"Hey!" Connor said offended. "Did he really call me a loser?"
"No" Noah said. "He doesn't think your a loser. He just thinks your a dumbass."
Noah smiled with a wide grin.
"Haha" Connor replied. "Your hilarious... not."
In New York, Jude stood with Emily in line. They were both nervous about this. Jude was more nervous. He had never auditioned for anything other than school productions. And he was feeling kinda scared.
"EMILY BAKERFIELD"
Emily smiled at Jude and she rushed in. Jude waited a couple minutes before she returned in a happy mood.
"Good luck" she told Jude. "And don't be nervous. He's a nice guy."
"Jude Adams Foster!"
Jude walked into the audition room to see the casting director Gerald Franco staring at him.
"Whenever your ready kid" Gerald told Jude. "Just don't blow it."
Jude acted out the scene he practiced with. Gerald looked impressed. Jude seen Gerald right something on his clipboard. But Jude wasn't sure what he wrote.
Gerald wrote 'Wow' next to Jude's name.
"I'll let you know" Gerald told Jude. "Have a nice day."
"Thank you for your time" Jude told Gerald. "This has been a pleasure."
"Have a nice day, young man" Gerald told Jude. "If you don't pass the audition don't worry about it. You'll find something. Your a talented young man."
Jude smiled.
Jude walked out feeling extremely confident about the audition. He thought maybe this could be his big break.
