Jude entered the kitchen and kissed Connor.
"Good morning my sexy fiance" Connor smiled.
"Hey" Jude greeted. "I am in such a good mood."
They kissed.
"I just feel like anything is possible" Jude told Connor. "I don't know I'm just in a good mood."
"Good" Connor said smiling. "You ready for work?"
Jude smiled at Connor and they kissed again.
Alex stared at his therapist Helen Martin.
"So I've been making some pretty stupid decisions lately" Alex told Helen. "And I just feel so sad like all the time. And I'm depressed. See I recently just went through a divorce this summer."
"How did it affect you?" Helen asked.
"It made my drinking a lot worse" Alex said. "My friends seem to think I'm an alcoholic."
"How often do you drink?" Helen asked.
"I don't know" Alex said. "I don't really keep count. I sometimes drink when I feel depressed or want to distract myself."
Helen nodded.
"I guess I'm just scared" Alex confessed.
"Scared of what?" Helen asked.
"That I'm not good enough" Alex said. "I just have trouble admitting I have a problem."
Helen nodded.
"Okay" Helen said. "The way I see it you have really bad depression. And some anxiety. I'm going to prescribe you some pills for your depression. And I want you to attend some AA meetings. There's one not too far."
Alex nodded.
"Okay" Alex agreed sadly.
Helen stared at Alex.
"I have too many damn problems" Alex commented. "How can I live a normal life if I really am an alcoholic?"
"Alex" Helen said. "I'm not going to lie. It's going to be hard. But your life won't be that much different. You just have to work at it."
Alex nodded.
At Anchor Beach, Jude sits in his office and Mary enters.
"Mr. Adams Foster?" Mary asked. "Can we talk?"
"Sure" Jude said. "Sit down."
Mary did as she was told.
"Are you alright Mary?" Jude asked.
"No" Mary said. "What would you do if you knew something really bad?"
"How bad?" Jude asked worried.
"One of my friends" Mary said. "He has a really bad home life. And he is abused but he acts like it's normal for his Dad to treat him like that."
"Who is he?" Jude asked.
"I.." Mary then stood up. "I have to go. This was a mistake."
Mary ran out leaving a worried Jude.
Alex entered his house and Daria looked at him.
"How did it go?" Daria asked.
"She prescribed me pills for depression" Alex told her. "And she wants me to start attending AA meetings. There's one tonight and I'm going."
"That's good" Daria smiled at Alex.
