Brandon sits on the couch in his apartment. Alex rushes in.
"Don't mind me I'm just getting a snack and I'll be gone" Alex said.
"Where are you going?" Brandon asked worried. "I've barely seen you these past few days."
"I've been working hard at work" Alex said.
"Alex, Jude invited us over for dinner" Brandon said. "I think it be good for us to go."
"I can't I'm having dinner with my mom" Alex said.
"Alex I just think it be good.." Brandon tried.
"Why so Jude can ask me how I'm doing since my baby died?" Alex snapped. "No thank you I rather spend a quiet evening with my mother."
"Well can I join?" Brandon asked.
"Actually it's just a thing for me and her" Alex responded. "But I have to go."
Alex kissed Brandon quickly and walked out of the apartment.
Jamie makes out with Mitch. Kenneth walks in on them and they break apart. Kenneth seems shocked.
"So are you two like together now?"Kenneth asked shocked.
"Yeah" Mitch said.
"Oh cool" Kenneth said scratching his neck. "Then you guys and me and Ashley should have like a double date or something.."
"Well think about it" Mitch said.
"What did you need Kenneth?" Jamie asked.
"I forgot" Kenneth said awkwardly. "I'm going to go."
Kenneth walks out.
"Well I think we scarred him for life" Jamie smiled.
"Yeah we so did" Mitch smiled.
The two of them kissed again.
That night, Jude eats dinner with Connor, Taylor, Daria, Brandon, Ava and Peter.
"So how's Alex?" Jude asked. "it feels like forever since I seen him."
"it's only been two weeks" Daria said.
"Well" Brandon said. "I'm not really sure. I barely see him. It's like he's always out the door or sleeping."
"We're sorry" Connor said. "We don't know what your going through. And it has got to suck."
"Well it's getting better" Brandon said. "I mean it's still hard to think about but I'm getting there."
Brandon got up and walked into the kicthen. He called Alex but no answer so he called Victoria.
"Hello?"
"Hey Victoria. Is Alex still there?"
"What are you talking about?" Victoria sounded confused.
"Alex said he was having dinner with you tonight" Brandon said worried.
"Well I guess he lied, Brandon" she said. "Because he's not here. I'm out of town on business tonight."
Brandon hung up. He couldn't believe that Alex had lied to him.
Brandon sat on his couch and Alex entered.
"Hey" Alex said.
Brandon stood up.
"Where have you been?" Brandon snapped.
"I told you I had dinner with my mom" Alex lied.
"Your mom is out of town" Brandon snapped.
"Why is it so important where I was?" Alex asked.
"Tell me!" Brandon snapped. "Where are you going when your always out of the apartment? Alex !!!"
"Dancing!" Alex snapped. "Okay? Are you happy? I've been practicing in a studio near the school. Okay? Taking some classes and trying to get back into it."
"You haven't been dancing since high school" Brandon said.
"Well I am" Alex snapped. "if you don't believe me go there. God leave me alone."
"Why can't you just talk to me?" Brandon asked.
"Because I can't!" Alex snapped. "I'm sorry if I don't have a whole family to cry too! I don't want to talk about it! I don't want to talk about the child we lost ! Okay? So leave me alone."
Alex stormed off.
The next day, Jude cuddles with Connor in bed.
"I'm so glad the kids are in bed" Connor said. "I'm so happy we get to cuddle."
Jude smiled.
"I'm sorry" Jude said. "That I went to New York. I mean Alex has forgiven me so I need to forgive myself don't I?"
"Yes you do" Connor smiled.
They share a passionate kiss.
"I love you" Jude smiled.
"I love you too" Connor said.
"Isn't it funny?" Jude asked. "Alex turns out not to be my brother but then he becomes my brother in law. This world really works in mysterious ways."
"Yeah it does."
Alex dances but messed up the move. Brandon entered.
"Hey" Brandon said.
"I see you came" Alex snapped. Alex walked over to the floor and sat down. Brandon sat next to him. "I can't do anything right. This dance used to be the easiest for me. I can't even do that right."
"You just have to keep trying" Brandon said. "And we can adopt another baby, Alex. Okay? We can still be parents."
Alex shook his head.
"No" Alex said. "I don't want to be a parent anymore. It was never meant to be."
"What?"
"I'm sorry Brandon" Alex said. "But I don't want to be a dad anymore. I can't handle getting my hopes up again."
"Alex it'll be.."
"Your not listening to me" Alex snapped. "I don't want to be a parent. We had a daughter and she's gone. And.." Alex broke down. "And even though I didn't get to hold her I will always love her.. but I can't do it again. It just breaks my heart too much. Promise me you won't try to talk me into having another baby."
"I promise."
Alex got up and walked out. Brandon stared after Alex upset. He still wanted a baby to care for. A child to raise. How could he give up that dream? He didn't know what to do.
